Saiura Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 So I recently installed Skyrim again and went straight to modding... and went a bit overboard (5gb worth of mods). After some diasabled mods and changing of the load-order in Wrye Bash (I use this to start skyrim), it actually worked! Though the further I got, the more I encountered random crashes, sometimes the game even freezes during loading screens. Many of my saves also can't be loaded directly and result in a ctd right as the loading screen ends. I need to load one of my few "stable" saves and then the troublesome one for it to work. Now, I am sure something can be done with the load-order... maybe I missed some dependancies and placed them wrong, or didn't notice critical conflicts... Any help is apreciated! As for my load order, I have it uploaded on Modwat.ch: http://modwat.ch/Saiura#/plugins
Sailing Rebel Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Use LOOT. Clean your masters. The STEP Project is a a good place to start if you plan on heavy modding.
Saiura Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 going to try LOOT, seems the easiest to start with, and who knows... might do the trick already! Thanks so far =) I'll report in once I got to try it. Well... What I now have is another trouble on loading... I load a game and it just gives me a blackscreen... got to kill skyrim every time.
Anatriax Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 http://www.loverslab.com/topic/47360-anatriaxs-wonderful-world-of-skyrim/ I've also put a lot of work into my guide to provide links to mods that I use. I hope you enjoy. This new problem is probably incompatible plugins, or multiple plugins modifying the same worldspace. It probably is time to start over with modding.
Loresalef Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 For real you cant mod Skyrim right, you can do it in a clean way but even then you will have bugs, glitches and ctd's. The only way you can mod a stable Skyrim is to install one mod at a time and look how it plays out. Its just try and error, i have 200 mods active and no bugs, glitches or ctd's, but the next mod i install will maybe be the one that destroys everything.
Gameplayer Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I've gone though your load order and have noticed some issues. I see also a lot of plug ins that I don't recognize and I have to wonder if those are safe or not.. Anyways you have some mods that will fire off frequently in the script system. Anyway I think you should remove the ones marked remove. Your Load order with commentary.txt
Saiura Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Thanks for the commentary, my plan now is pretty much to trim it all down to the very essentials (at least for me), most essential for me would be the captured dreams mod (probably wrong place for praise, but this mod is amazing!). So... tomorrow (to annoyed of it today), I'll likely turn off all mods and go through one by one till I have all I need and it's stable. The commentary will surely help.
