for dimonized UNO body? i thought people would be using CBBE for the most part. maybe thats why im having a hard time finding armor for CBBE. i can find a shit ton for dimonized UNP though.

 

 

EDIT: so that i don't make another thread is there a mod that fixes the camera? I mean for third person? you cant autorun and look at the from of your character. unless you can and i just don;t know how

CBBE is for women with HUGE breasts.

UNP is for a more natural look that is also sexy.

 

Most armor is for CBBE actually, you can see that at the nexus especially. They seem to have a fetish for the stuff.(good for them, just not my cup of tea)

 

I am impressed UNP is as popular as it is, nice to know I'm not alone. Now to get some women using one and others using another...

The attraction is UNP is a better looking body. From my point of view, I can't see how people can stand to use CBBE...

 

Disengaging troll mode for a moment. To put it simply, CBBE is really more on the niche side of things. Certainly not nearly as niche as the more ridiculous body types available for OB (and slowly coming out for Skyrim), but it is a very unnatural, unusual, unrealistic shape. Not everyone likes their women shaped like that, and for some people it's downright immersion-breaking.

 

UNP is somewhat idealized and skews skinnier, but the "base" body is a very natural yet still very sexy range of sizes, from thin and athletic (but a few steps up from anorexic) to curvy pinup girl. And on top of that, the natural shape better matches the game's more "realistic" style.

 

It boils down to "sexy realistic fantasy" (UNP) versus "sexy exaggerated fantasy" (CBBE).

Not sure why it's so surprising. CBBE doesn't effectively cater to the ones who prefer realistic shapes. It's the same as how lots of folks use more reasonable versions of HGEC while others use more niche versions, only instead of it all being just different iterations of the same core body, we have two competing body mods filling two niches.

 

My money's on UNP ultimately dominating the body wars as soon as dimon opens up permissions for modifications to the base body. Though it's hard to say; unlike Olbivion where there was no real strong competitor before Eye Candy blew them all out of the water, Skyrim has two very strong, very well-supported bodies available. UNP has some advantages already, though... Hentai and Gizmodian mod for it exclusively (leaving conversions to whoever wants to do them). KURESE/R18PN mods for both, but all his example shots show, surprise, the UNP version, which implies he's primarily a UNP guy. And if I had to name the three popular, influential armor/outfit modders... it'd probably be those three.

You're mostly right Jex...mostly.

 

Remember that even in the days previous to Eyecandy, the big bodytype was BAB and BAB continued to be a strong competitor in the Oblivion scene for a long time because of the very same division we are seeing now. CBBE is for those who like a body ranging from voluptous to exagerated, and UPN is from mildly curvy to athletic. UPN is today's BAB where CBBE is Eyecandy. Once again its just a case of history repeating itself.

 

Now with that said, I doubt either body is going away anytime soon. Both bosies are done with great quality and both are physically beutiful. It takes all kinds man, you should know that. I figure both bodies will continue to thrive because there are so many strong supporters for each side. Just as long as we don't start another outfit war, everything should be fine.

 

FOr those who are newer to the community of mod, back in the day, modders who were making outfits for BAB wouldn't share permissions to Eyecandy modder and vise-versa. That is a bunch of bullshit we need to avoid.

 

I figure we'll continue to see both bodies do well until a new one comes out that beats them both down. Just like HGEC killed both Eyecandy and BAB, there will be one that does the same with our current two.

 

Personally? I like the voluptous bounce of CBBE. I use my own body slider though using Cal's body slider tool, so I sort of get a little of both worlds.

Ah. I admit, I wasn't a habitual modder before the Age of Eye Candy, so my knowledge of body mods pre-EC is limited. I just know that before I found EC, nothing really stuck out.

The attraction is probably because they look super healthy, unbelievably fit. UNP is more believable. What traits do you look for in a mate?

Dimon himself said UPN is more of an "idealistic" body. The BAB thing is a weird comparison since it died off to some extent after HGEC and CFF were the dominant body mods, and it was a fairly bland model...no real curves or definition and the pelvic area was very uh...lacking I guess you could say.
