human3166 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Hello good people. I appreciate the help I've got in the past here and I was wondering if someone can help me with another issue. I have just installed the Death Alternative addon, the one where you can be a Thalmor prisoner and so on. I've read the instructions and installed all prerequisite mods. My problem is that when I start one of the death alternative scenarios (any of them which are marked with "DA"), my screen goes black. I can see for a fraction of a second then everything is dark. The compass and other UI elements are still visible, I can access my inventory, map and console but I can't see anything. I have uninstalled other mods I have suspected of causing this problem but no luck (I don't have any ENBs or other things of the sorts). I have also started a new game several times, but it's the same. If anyone has any idea what's going on or if you can at least point me in the right direction, I would be grateful.
Slorm Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Try the reset Black Screen in DA utilities (you may need to reset player state as well). All the DA Captured events seem to have problems starting properly
human3166 Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Thanks for the answer. My own stupidity is to blame here. Turns out that was supposed to happen. Everything returned to normal after about a minute. I think my character had to walk to the cell and align with the wall shackles first, which took a bit of time. However, now I'm facing another issue. I can't ride horses. Also, I can't sit on chairs or benches. Has this happened to someone else? I think I have read this somewhere else, that the Thalmor prisoner scenarios have affected some animations. I'll try to look it up in the meantime.
