Sorry if I seem like lurking but since this thread is very helpful I just wanted to ask something for myself instead of starting a similar topic..

I'm running Skyrim on a laptop with these specs:

- Win 7 32bit

- Intel B940 2Ghz

- 6Gb RAM (2.61 usable)

- Intel Internal VGA 1.2Gb

Since I've been testing & running several mods now here are the files/mods I run on the loader/skyrim folder:

- SKSE

- extra hotkeys

- CBBEV3 texture + CHSBC BBP mesh

- Apachii SkyHair

- Minilovers

- AP

- Dragon Lords

- Dragon Swarms

- Dragons Diversified

- Mighty Dragons

- Dragon Shouts to Perks

- Improved Thundering Dragon Shouts

- Vampiric Thirst

- Normal Vampire Faces

- Pretty Female Idles (with VHH & momo dash)

- Armored Circlets

- TERA UNP BBP Armors

- Remodeled CBBEV3 Armors

- other custom weapon & armor sets ()

- UFO

- Extra Blades

- DSpSoB (currently testing ATTT)

- Aela, Eola, Illia, Iona, Jenassa, Jordis, Lydia, Mjoll, Njada, Ria, Serana & Uthgerd follower replacers (Harem Mode)

- Colorful Lights No Shadow (just recently added thanks to this thread)

the thing is, I'm playing at 800x600 windowed mode with Medium textures, and I wanted to somehow increase resolution and if possible add an ENB but being very careful on the FPS (I get 20-30 in my current setting).. Any suggestions on what setting or .ini tweaks to use?

Also if I try out the reduced texture pack do I have to uninstall first then reinstall everything?

Funny thing is... it's already ON advanced view. Yeah, this thing is useless. I just can't seem to download CCC with windows 7 and my card. It's the damndest thing!

It seems there's something wrong with your installation.

I tried 12.8 and 12.9 beta.No issues with CCC so far(at least with 64bit).

A decent uninstall - reboot - fresh install could possibly solve your problem.

The final solution (or chance) is a fresh Windows installation :-/

No, just overwrite ;)

Well to be honest I bought this computer from best buy with all the software already installed... so a fresh re-installation isn't really possible as they didn't include any software for me to use. My drivers say they are up to date, but I can't find the CCC anywhere on my comp. It's just odd.

Also with the reduced texture pack, you DO have to re-install any beauty mods that you have, like skin packs for your character. I installed the low-rez texture pack and my characters body looked like a dirty homeless person LOL. But I reinstalled my body textures and it came out fine.

I use the TESV Reduced Texture package, and it made a HUGE difference in my game. I didn't use the folders for characters/monsters/outfits/weapons, so it's just the terrain and buildings snd trees and stuff that are reduced and even with that it runs way better. It's too bad that it isn't updated with the new dawnguard stuff, I totally notice a big lag increase in the new areas.
