[REQUEST] skyrim legion reaction mod

I was wondering if it is possible for someone to mod skyrim so that as you progresses through the imperial legion ranks, the legions acknowledge your ranking and maybe even join you as a follower to aid you in battle - especially against stormcloaks. That would be awesome because I really don't feel anything special when my character reached the rank of Legate - the only thing that any imperials say is saluting me and saying "Legate" or something. Thank you very much!

Since you're seeking immersion, I take it voice acting is practically a requirement for you? After all, it would be very silly to have an Imperial approach and call you a Legate with no voice file. At that point, it's an instant red flag the legate comment is taken from the mod and cripples the immersion. Furthermore, it would disrupt the protagonist's adventure if it was a "force greet," so it would make more sense for an Imperial to say "legate" as you're strolling around, but without a voice actor, all you'll see is text reading "legate" at the bottom. Imagine walking into an Imperial fortress with a bunch of silent text pop-ups reading, "legate" "legate" legate!"

 

Of course, voices are very difficult to pull off with discrepancies in recording quality. Plus, many do not have experience in voice acting and many others are too ashamed to try. Furthermore, with a wide plethora of guards, you would need at least two distinct voice actors. The actors should also match up their voices with the default voice actors, otherwise there will be an inconsistency issue. For example, the modded voice actor saying "legate" will say their line, then the very next moment, talk with Bethesda's voice file?

 

It sounds simple on paper, but achieving immersion is a real bitch. The concern with your request is it adds nothing substantial to the game. It's merely an immersion request. I think it needs more meat before someone will consider tackling it.

[justify]you got a point - but what I mean is that I want to truly feel like a commander - how about this - adding more side-quests for this imperial legion thing. For example, it's possible to throw some quests in which you use your new rank to command soldiers into massive battles or skirmishs so that the scope of the civil war in skyrim would be appropriately scaled. This way, it makes more sense and the feeling of progressing through the ranks in the imperial legion is much more fun. The mod can be integrated through the main imperial legion quest or as an continuation after the supression of the rebellion - it would be nice if the legion could rebel against thalmor as an additional quest and restablishing the traditional nord beliefs - and the player is in charge of the imperial legion.
