S1r Derpington Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Lately, i had a lot of startup problems. So, naturally, i was looking for fixes and that stuff, and started messing around in the files of Skyrim. And suddenly, when i went into my data folder, all mods that i had installed were gone. I had a whole load of mods installed, and i am not planning on reinstalling them all manually. I already looked to make a System Restore, but: 1) I am not sure if it will reset my Data folder, 2) It is from 3 days ago, and i added some mods inbetween that I can't remember. So, do you guys have any help on this? Also, the bug i kept having was that after the Bethesda logo, the screen went black and only the background music could be heard. I would be very grateful if any of you could help me with this problem.
germanicus Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 If you have enabled restore in your control panel, you might want to restore your Windows to some earlier checkpoint. Or to use some programs like Recvoer my files. Than do a back up of your files.
Nogar1781 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 What exactly do you mean by startup problems Skyrim or your OS? As for system restore, it will not restore your data folder. System restore primarily restores system changes to the state they were in at the time the restore point was made. So if you made a restore now and restored to it, it wouldn't change anything. As for your files Recuva is the only thing that I can think of off of the top of my head, though it most likely won't be able to recover everything,
