Spyder Arachnid Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Not really sure if this is a tech question or not, but thought I'd ask here any ways. Can you be too high level to get a quest? Curious about this, as I'm currently in Kynesgrove and I'm level 31. Haven't started the main quest or Imperials yet, only been going from city to city doing all the quests. Now I'm in Kynesgrove and there is two quests I am unable to get for some reason. One is from Iddra, and it's A Few Words With You. The one to make Roggi pay his debts. The other is from Roggi, and it's Dungeon Delving. The one to get his Ancestral Shield. Now I know you can't have multiples of those radiant quests, and my quest log is literally clean. So no worries there. I don't have any other quests that would conflict with those or prevent me from doing them, but neither of them has the option to get those quests. Iddra just rents rooms, and Roggi just talks about mead. No quests. So I was curious, maybe I'm just too high level for them? Or is that not an issue? I know some quests have level requirements, that if you're too low level you won't get them, but I've always wondered if some quests are unobtainable if you are too high level. I've also noticed that I haven't got the Sanguine quest yet or Boethia quest either. Yet Sanguine is level 14 requirement, and Boethia is level 30 requirement. And I haven't met a cultist and Sam Guevenne hasn't showed up at any Inn yet. Like I said, not sure if this is tech support, but just more of a general question. Can you be too high level for a quest?
Thenryb Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I have always found getting the quest for Roggi's ancestral shield to be a bit glitchy. I do not think it is related to your level. It may just be my game, but I do not recall ever getting that quest unless I first accept and complete the quest for the Windhelm blacksmith to get that queen's sword. This makes no sense, since both are just radiant quests but that has been my experience. I do not know if this is a tech question, but my post is hardly a "tech" response:)
NewIdol Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I do not really know where to be found Kynesgrove, but I'm starting the daedrics quests and will share this: - Boethiah´s call (Boethiah): You can start by going directly to the chapel of Boethiah (need level 30 I´ll try to start it at a slightly lower level to see what happens) - A night to remember (Sanguine): I found Sam Guevenne in The Bannered Mare (Whiterun) im lvl 26. I recommend checking if any of the quest you want depends on the missions of civil war or main quest, I have not started the main missions neither of the war quest plus I'm exploring at the moment near of Falkreath
Spyder Arachnid Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 Yeah I think I figured it out, thanks though for the advice guys. Seems I just needed to wait till I leveled up again. I was all capped on training, and since Roggi's quests gives you training, I guess it wouldn't let me do it until I leveled up more. So once I hit level 32, I was able to get his and Iddra's quest. Thanks any ways though. Should of just waited an hour till I leveled and then I wouldn't of had to make this post lol.

After you speak to her the first time you have to level up at least once to progress the quest where she becomes a potential follower. I have no idea what the rationale is for doing quests like that. It seems unnecessary and (obviously) confusing for the player.
