TheHuntress1970 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 This is a complete clean install of everything - game included - and I've never had this before. Can someone hold my hand here? lol Thanks
Content Consumer Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Are you using CBBE? Have you tried the texture blender? Or the one for UNP?
Anatriax Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 could be a specular overwrite. If you install your face mod after you've installed a specular (Sweaty or silky skin on Fair Skin > Adorable Face for one example) You'll have that happen if you don't pay attention to your overwrites, and the face overrides the head specular. If you're using NMM I suggest paying attention to your overwrites as they go through, making sure to not overwrite anything that has a _s.dds or _sk.dds extention. If you're using MO, you'll have to go through the mod and remove the speculars, making them a separate mod.1. Extract the mod with 7zip. 2. Find the "female" folder (textures\actors\character\female) and copy the specular into a new folder. 3. Place the folder at the end of the same file structure (textures\actors\character\female\femalebody_1_s.dds for example) 4. zip the top folder with 7zip (textures folder) 5. install with MO AFTER the face mod. that should solve your problem if you're using MO. You can use the same process for NMM if you want to, so you can insure that nothing is getting overwritten on accident.
TheHuntress1970 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Thanks for the replies. I had done 2 fully clean installs today to try to resolve it. I know that's pretty extreme but I wanted to just do it as it would probably take the same amount of time to figure it out as it would to reinstall that game. Now, had just done my 2nd install and fully vanilla except for SkyUI and Skyrim Unbound. The only texture mod I have so far before checking it is the extensive blood mod. At this point I checked with Skyrim Unbound to bypass the long intro just to learn that I still have the same issue and I do. Before I uninstalled I did use the Cals texblender. I generally use SG Renew. I've never had this bad before. A slight neck seam but nothing like this at all. It really changed when out of curiosity I used texblender. This is normal? The thing is, is that I use install the lunari race and that has always been perfect body and face mesh but now it's not.
TheHuntress1970 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 That's the thing I have no texture mods in right now. That image is straight vanilla character.
Anatriax Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Not if you've installed a custom race. They have their own _n.dds files. Try installing a compatible body with the race, and see if that fixes it. If that doesn't fix it, take your _n.dds files from the body mod that you end up using and take those to the races texture folder under textures\actors\character, and copy them to that folder, overwriting as required.
TheHuntress1970 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 I know but I don't have Lunari installed right now. The only texture mod I have installed at this point is enhanced blood textures. This 2nd image is vanilla Nord.
TheHuntress1970 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 oh.. FFS.. that was it... Thanks, Yesi...
Anatriax Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 No problem. Check the gamma in the ENB and make sure it's set to 1. It should be fine after you replace all body textures. :*
TheHuntress1970 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Is that GammaCurve? This is at 1... The ENB I have right now is Far Away Northwest
