No animations

So yeah, when I raise an NPC's disposition to 70+ and initiate sex via dialogue, both the NPC and my PC just stand there. Here's my load order:

What hath I done wrong?

1st - If you haven't already download BOSS and run it to sort your mods.

2nd - After running BOSS rearrange the bottom of your load order to this:

 

All other esm/esp files

LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp

LoversFSE.esp

Lovers with PK.esp

Bashed Patch, Oblivion.esp <----A bashed patch MUST go near the bottom or it serves no purpose.

LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp <---last esp file

 

Oblivion works off of a conflict resolution system that which ever esp is "lowest" in the load order "wins". Thus lovers files and your bashed patch should be down near the very bottom.

BOSS is fantastic for non lovers mods. For lovers mods - it blows chunks. This isn't a knock on BOSS, it is just that the dudes that update it don't play lovers mods.

Did you start a new game or use a clean save?

Yup. No dice. Made a new female character, got it on with Baurus, both characters just stood there.

When you made your bashed patch did you include any lovers files in it? If so this is a no no as it can break their scripts. After you adjusted your LO it is a good idea to rebuild your bashed patch, just make sure no lovers files are in it.

 

If the above has no impact then I suggest reinstalling lovers:

1. Install this first: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=29

2. And then this: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=7

 

Start a new game to test.

Reinstalled, new game, still the same; no animation. Am I missing an .esp file I need for characters to start humping?

All I can tell you at this point is either you have not installed things correctly or you have some strange mod conflict.

 

1. Double check that all the files went where they were supposed to.

2. If the above is fine then disable ALL esm/esp files and only enable:

Oblivion.esm

All official DLC esp files

And all lovers esm/esp files

 

Then start a new game and test. If things work (and they should) then add back in mods 2-3 at a time until things break to figure out what mod/mods are breaking things.

Nope. Vanilla game, they just stand there still. Unless the .rar file doesn't arrange the animations properly, I installed it correctly, just like every other mod I've installed in my game. This baffles me.

It is always best to unzip a mod to a temp location to check its file structure. This way you can be sure that you aren't dropping a data file into oblivion\data\

That would end up oblivion\data\data which would not work. Can't say for sure if this could be it but it is always something to check.
