Posses and change an NPC? possible?

Hellos, yet another question.. so far I have my game nearly as I want it! Only thing is.. most of my followers are rather plain. Since male companions are hard to find.

 

So my question is.. does anyone know if there is a way to posses an NPC and use ShowRaceMenu to alter their appearance in game and have it stay that way?

 

Currently use ECE, but thinking I might have to learn RaceMenu as I wanna add tattoos to some of my guys. Just sad I will lose my ECE face preset I worked on.

Well switching to RaceMenu isn't a scary thing anymore with CharGen Export. It allows you to export your ECE preset to RaceMenu so you can still use it. Then you'll get the benefits of the overlay system, with the created face of ECE (which you can do in RaceMenu regardless).

 

As for your followers, why not use an NPC Overhaul to spruce them up? There is tons out there that overhaul the appearance of many npcs and followers. Check out Inhabitants of Skyrim, uses Apachii Hair, and overhauls almost all the npcs in the game to make them look better. If you're using the Companions, check out Vilkas and Farkas by Netherwalk. Or if you want a Mage type, try Onmund by CrimsonFairy. Or just a simple texture replacer for the males will make all the difference. Something like Fine Face Textures for Men by Urshi will make all the males look much better.

 

If you want more, just check out the npc, overhauls, companions, etc on Nexus. There is plenty more out there to help make your male followers look much better. Hope that helps.

Spyder o.o I love you. I had no idea you could use a ECE face in Race Menu! thank you so much for that link. Also I love the mods you linked going to download them all. helped a ton.

 

 

EDIT. Just did that chargen export. I didn't know how to extract files from a BSA. so I just installed RaceMenu and let it overwrite everything. loaded up ECE used the spell and then imported the head into RaceMenu and it kept the shape! all I had to do was re select my brows and hair. Which is easy. Thank you soooo much! I can finally use slave tats mod from this site and give my follower guys neat tattoos \o/
