Warstomp32 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 As the title says, is it possible to export the mods you install in NMM into MO without going into the process of reinstall whole mods you have in NMM into MO. since I decided to switch MO for good.. it's kinda hassle where I have to reinstalled all 100+mods including textures into a perfect load manner..
entro Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 You can import over from NMM too MO. There should be a guild on the mod page and I think Gopher goes over it on his youtube channel.
guk Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD-StaBzXaI&list=PLE7DlYarj-DcLS9LyjEqOJwFUQIIQewcK&index=7 I highly recommend starting with a 100% fresh Skyrim install though, to save you possible headaches later on (and watching this 1 hour long guide before that).
DomDate Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I'm with Guk on this one. If you plan on starting a new game, then definitely go with a fresh install. In fact, I don't even touch the Nexus Mod Manager any more. If you want to continue your current saved game, you may have to continue launching it from within the nexus manager anyway. Some mods do not pass stored information into new profiles. I made the switch about 6 months ago. I did a fresh install, created a vanilla profile, which I leave untouched for testing my creations as well as adding new mods for testing purposes (always copied and renamed) and can happily say I've never suffered a bad incident. There are additional considerations for handling FNIS, which you can look up on S.T.E.P. I want to emphasize: Use the profiles creation utility to your advantage. I created a base profile and did a play-through without any mods installed to the point of the first dragon encounter and receiving Whiterun Thaneship. Many mods and much of the game itself needs you to have progressed this far before certain options and abilities become available. At this point, I left that profile alone, made a copy and installed my mods to the copy. I continue to make copies from that profile anytime I want create a new mod environment. Saves me all kinds of time, and I'm always starting at a point in the game which is to my greatest advantage, enjoying a hassle-free vanilla starting point for modding. Good luck!
