Nikita Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hey guys, I play skyrim and oblivion, the elderscrolls games, and have long been in the modding community for them. I have been wanting to try fallout but was wondering which versions I need to buy to best utilize the mods here like sexout. Thanks to any help!
Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 New Vegas is what Sexout is designed for, so to make the most of the sex mods you would need that. If you don't care about the sex mods or story, Fallout 3 is essentially Oblivion with guns; Skyrim is Fallout 3 with swords. Also, if you want both, you can use a New Vegas mod called Requiem for a Capital Wasteland which lets you use Fallout 3's information with New Vegas' improvements. The non-story Sexout mods work just fine in the Capital Wasteland this way.
jbezorg Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I would go with New Vegas. Game mechanics were improved from Fallout 3 and there's a larger selection of mods.

Requiem for a Capital Wasteland is called an Alpha for a reason I will be reloading New Vegas this weekend along with loading Mass Effect 3.
Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Requiem has some problems, but they'll all be worked out in time.
gregathit Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I will be reloading New Vegas this weekend along with loading Mass Effect 3. If you already have bought ME3 then ignore the below. If you haven't bought it.....you might want to check the Bioware forums as there is a good bit of rage over the endings. Having completed the game I will say that it really is good, but the endings are all crap and they left me not wanting to play ME ever again Just my two cents......
Nikita Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Also, Would anyone happen to have any mods or series of mods to recommend? I am a female and play female chars, (love clothing and pretty things that make my character look better). Or possibly a mod manager for fallout? I just got Fallout New Vegas off of steam.
Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Fallout Mod Manager is the best mod manager there is. Now, for bodies and clothes, you have options. The good news is some of the bodies don't look all that different clothed, and all share the same textures, so if you find an outfit you like for a different body things should still be fine. Your body options for females are: Type 3 Type 3 bouncing (this is what I use so all of the clothes in Tryout are based on it) Type 3F Type 3M, clothes here Type IV Type 6 BNB For the Sexout mods themselves, it depends on your kink. Sexout itself and Sexout Common Resources are requirements for the basic package. At that point, if you like a gentler experience, SexoutSex and the Tryout mods for Kings, NCR and possibly Working Girl would be up your alley - nothing bad happens in prostitution if you whore yourself responsibly. I also just released a WIP called SexoutFadeToBlack that replaces all the sex scenes in the base game with Sexout scenes. If you're into the rough stuff, the rest of the Tryout mods deliver, in addition to Sewer Slave. Brutal Rapers is a perfect compliment, too. Halstrom's pregnancy mod is good if you want/don't mind pregnancy being a result of sex with virtually anything that humps you.
gregathit Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Nikita, Use FOMM for your mod manager: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901 Do NOT use the nexus mod manager as it has spyware and other crap. I use lings but others prefer Mikoto. Mikoto link: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=35878 Mikoto addon to make npc look better: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=36327 NOTE: other optional addons at the 1st post in the descriptions page. Lings: http://www.moddb.com/mods/lings-coiffure-nv There are others like: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1922 Also be aware if you run Win7 or Vista that steam defaults its installation to the program files directory and you will have fights with UAC and mods. Best option is to move steam to another location. How to do so: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7418-YUBN-8129
Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Also forgot, you'll need MCM http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=4768 will tell you how to get the basics for Sexout itself going, but it seems I need to update the section about the bodies.

Mickster Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 One more body (the one I use): http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=45162 It's a modification of Type6. Also has some armor replacers made by the same author.

As for deleting your post pointing out the error, that would be like a government cover up or something, though I did correct it in my original post.
Nikita Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Wow thanks so much guys! I woke up this morning to this and I'm so happy! =D Cant wait to get into the game its self or get all the mods I would want =D When I modded the elderscrolls ones oh god did I have a lot, happy to be in a whole new but similar community! And so helpful! (And funny too! heh made me giggle a bit =P) Thank you alla again!

Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I take it from your strategic placement of hearts you're into the rough stuff. Being enslaved at the NCRCF and by the Legion are highlights, and I can't say enough positive things about SewerSlave. Also trying to whore yourself without permission in Gomorrah will lead to a special dramatic sequence.
Nikita Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 =D Yeah I will be sure to get those, I like this body here http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=45445 Would anyone happen to know what face and hair he is using? Or another beauty pack thing? And again ty for the help
Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 It looks like the texture is included in the pack, you would have to ask the modder about the hair. Also keep in mind that the Type 3F body has the least amount of clothes made for it, because it's so curvy. Clothing for Type 3, Type 3M and Type 6 should be fairly interchangeable without making the body appear that it's totally changed, so for max compatibility one of those is your best bet.

[/quote'] Also Type6M I'd include in that last of fairly interchangeable clothing/armor sets. I find I don't even notice if I'm swapping from any of those armor types to another any more. They're all fairly close enough in shape that you won't go wtf when you get naked or swap what you're wearing. Personally, I use the type6 base install Prideslayer linked, with 6M on top as a replacer and 3M addon only package as a supplement. Great selection.
Nite_Star Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I run Requiem for a Capital Wasteland with all the sex mods for New Vegas, and tbh the Sexout NG Fallout New Vegas works fine in the Fallout 3 world, because we all know that Fallout Script Extender had its limits, but as Fallout 3 runs through the NVSE those old limits are lifted...Yer it has it's problems but this is 1 serious massive scripted mod....
Aliaga Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Hmm. Unfortunately, NMM is the only one I can get working. No doubt because all the stuff is associated with it, so FOMM crashes if I try to launch it for NV. Maybe when I have to clean off all my NSFW stuff again and then re-download everything, I'll try to use FOMM. But I guess since I started on the Nexus and know nothing about mods, it was nice to have a "download with manager button." And I suppose I should try the SewerSlave if Loogie's giving it such high marks. I should probably head back to the NCRCF since I played through their missions before I'd installed anything beyond BnB. See what sort of fun is in store. And like my regular playthrough, I'm still avoiding New Vegas proper like the plague. Though since the NCR shoots on sight, I have a reason this time. Anyway, just wanted to thank all the awesome modders out there making this kind of thing possible for consumers like me who have no idea what we're doing. You guys rock.
gregathit Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Installing NMM automatically breaks FOMM. You can't run both.. If you want to use FOMM you have to fully uninstall NMM and reinstall FOMM.
astymma Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Installing NMM automatically breaks FOMM. You can't run both.. If you want to use FOMM you have to fully uninstall NMM and reinstall FOMM. When installing FOMM and NMM you have to alter one or the other's default directories. They both have the same default directories by default and NMM will overwrite some necessary FOMM files. I run them both with no problems though I never use NMM, I do all my installs manually after inspecting the mod contents first.

I never knew why as I couldn't bring myself to install that lump of @$$$%$%&. Good info! Thanks
