Converting Objects into Armor

Ok I'm converting the pipe from the Cannabis mod into an armor, but I'm having trouble with the pipe mesh.

 

The only available .nifs of the pipe mesh is an animobject, and a ground object.  There is no equipable mesh like the joint/ blunt.

 

In 3dsmax im using the ember from the joint as the pipe ember,...and the pipe animobject.

 

for the pipe I stripped down everything but the trishapedata, basically just importing the mesh shape with no skin or bsdismemberment.

 

I build the skin and BSDismemberment for the pipe from scratch,...painting full weight on head, and selecting all faces for dismemberment.

 

For the ember I just add head to skin and paint weights.

 

I export them together (testing by rotating NPC head node which rotates perfectly with the pipe and ember moving as expected.)

 

But once I get it into skyrim I find that the pipe only follows the root node,..seemingly ignoring the head.

 

The ember works as it should in-game,....this is shown in the screenshots following....

Is there something more you need to do when converting a non-armor object into a armor item?  Because this happens everytime I convert a normal object into armor.

in your pick pipe its dont attach to you head look funny  :lol: any wey did you try just skinwarp and add just head skin and see how its work in game ? then fix some weight manual ?

i dont nothing special just convert to mesh and skinwarp and add head skin only and export as head part then i change to 45 slot thats all

about wrong slot i dont hink have something to do with it try change to any slot if you see if change pipe position

Don't worry, you helped a lot,...I can't believe you got the female working in your screenshots.

 

My female skeleton may be different or something,....you got a lot farther than I could.
