Redflyingmonkey Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 A-a-a-are those artifacts ? Is my card dying ?? I suddenly saw those blue and orange squares flying everywhere on the screen like some kind of 90s LSD trip.
Captain Cobra Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I'd update/Reinstall drivers as a just as a last chance sort of thing, but it's probably on it's way out.
Guest smellbo Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I once had graphical problems like that, but I reinstalled my AMD GPU drivers, and that card worked fine for about 8 months afterwards
Redflyingmonkey Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 That's on my gaming laptop, I can't change the drivers they're installed with Windows Update
bjornk Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Windows Update can only install generic drivers with limited functionality. You must install the specific graphics drivers for your GPU either from your laptop manufacturer's site or from AMD/NVidia/Intel.

Last I tried to manually change my AMD drivers, my Catalyst Control Center disappeared, my fps fell to 10 in game, and I'm pretty sure everything went on my generic card instead of the dedicated one. I had to do a factory reboot to make everything okay again. I'll just send it back to the manufacturer, ask them to add some RAM too since I got two empty slots.
techiespeek Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 What is the brand and model number of your laptop? I am a partner with most of the major hardware and software vendors, I can find what you need. I would go to http://www.amd.com and click on the "Drivers + Support" option and get the latest version that matches your operating system and GPU. If this does not help the problem, let me know and we can look into it further.
