MidbossVyers Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 After this recent official Steam update, a lot of my settings for smooth running got reset, but I manually set them back. However, more importantly, after the update, "Skyrim" went crazy, not the game or the kingdom, but literally the word, "Skyrim", like when you save in an open space. Also, it reset my screenshot count, so instead of at 69 where it was before, it is now back at 2, but I don't mind that. And before you say that it is because of a foreign language bug, know no other text is bad, just the word, "Skyrim". The only mod that I have that possibly has foreign language is http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57417However, I am using the English version only.
manam Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Did you add any mods recently as well? It really sounds like a mod issue to me - even if a mod is all in English, if the author made it with a non-English version of Skyrim it can change the name of any cells edited by the mod, in my experience. If you think it might be Legendary Rings, check some of the cells the rings are supposed to be found at and see if their names are messed up as well. For what it's worth, I checked my copy and nothing's wrong with the name, so I don't think it's update-related.
MidbossVyers Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 I have not added any plugins. The most that I installed recently was a fix for my Nocturnal Robes (for some reason, the texture path was screwed up), but that was only a mesh file for the robes. No .esp or .esm files.
