ZepD Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 When I'm outdoors I have a steady 40fps (i use the fps limiter in enblocal), which I am fine with. But, for some reason If I enter a town or places with npcs my game just shits itself. In riverwood I'm lucky to break 20 fps In whiterun some areas dip to 10 fps In the opening scene of solitude my FPS goes down to 4 until the crowd disperses. I have tried overclocking both my CPU and GPU to 4.2/ 1350 - 1000 Updated to newest stable AMD drivers I am running SKSE with ENB boost (just the boost no graphics, instead I use SweetFX) Skyrim performance monitor says my VRAM/GPU/CPU are all fine and hardly go above 50% usage. I try this on a completely clean save, and even with only skyrim.esm and update loaded the same problem persists, so I don't think it could be mod related. ZepD Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Ok man I L O V E you. It was HDT. I took out all the hdt mods from skse and placed them in a new folder. 30+ fps everywhere and stable. Although I really like HDT, is there like a low key setting I can use that wont rape my system? I'm guessing it is a CPU bottle neck?

I can use HDT just not with that particular preset.
