Guest Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 So I came to the understanding that I need to have a steam account to install SKYRIM (I just bought the Legendary Edition from EBay yesterday & I want to know all I should know & more before it arrives) Can I still play it on the Multiple profiles on my Laptop? bc I Love making Characters & on my xbox360 SKYRIM I had to create several Profiles on my system so my Saves don't get Iffy & I can Enjoy a Plethora of Characters & I would love to have several SKYRIM characters on my laptop. Also do I always have to open up Steam to enjoy my SKYRIM that will be Loverslab/nexus modded? ~ Thank you
nutluck Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Yes you have to register the game with steam but if you bought it off ebay then that copy is likely already registered. Save works the same on the PC version but Mod Manager lets you create profiles for each character you have with their own saves.
Varithina Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 For multiple characters then a save game manager would work as well, this is the one I use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2119/? I am pretty sure there is a thread somewhere on one of the forums here about setting up a new install of skyrim, having a read through that will either help you a lot or leave you with loads more questions, probably both though
techiespeek Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Once you get the DVD, Steam will kick in and install the Steam Client as soon as the DVD is placed in the drive of your computer. Skyrim allows for multiple Player Characters (PC) and the ability to save them and play them as you like. Using a mod manager or save game editor is not advised when first setting things up and learning about what is possible. It is best to get Skyrim stable first and do a complete play through. This will help you to see what exactly you would like different and want to improve on.

I don't know for sure, my copy of Skyrim is digital. I just know on some discs on other games once the CD key is used you can't use it again. So thought I would mention it so you could check into it to be sure.
