Kaw's Claws with Fingerless Gloves (it works!)

So a while back I found someone on this forum that changed the slot used by Kaw's Claws (the original ones) and now I can use them with gloves, which is AWESOME!

 

My only issue is they only converted the black ones... so all the other colors still use the glove slot

 

I can not figure out how they did it or what the steps would be to make the others work the same. The thread was from back in 2012 so i did not want to necro it XP

You need the Creation Kit and NifSkope.

Once you have those:

Since I don't know how much you know, I'm going to be as thorough as possible.

1. Open the first mesh you want to convert with NifSkope

2. Expand the list in the Block List window on the left by clicking on the triangle next to 0 NiNode

3. Expand the list farther at 1 NiTriShape

4. Click on BSDismemberSkinInstance

5. Go down to the Block Details window and expand Partitions

6. Expand again

7. Double click on SBP_33_HANDS

8. Scroll down to SBP_36_RING

9. Save over the mesh in your data folder. You may want to keep a backup.

 

10. Load up the Creation Kit
11. Type Claw into the filter on the left
12. Click on Armor
13. Double click on one of the entries
14. Click on 33 - Hands and 36 - Ring in the Biped Object list in the middle of the window
15. Double click on the entry under Models in the bottom center of the window
16. Repeat step 14 in the new window.
17. Close both windows by clicking OK
18. Save

 

You have now changed the slot taken by that claw.

Now I must really thank you ppp for such detailed explanation on this, and also tell you that Ive for the first time in my life downloaded nifskope and edited a mod and that actually worked. Thank you very much for your time and effort in putting it so thoroughly that someone with a true ZERO knowledge on this would get it done. Kudos indeed!
