-Icewing- Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 My mods aren't working' date=' what do I? [/quote'] What mods, what mods are you using, and so on.?
gray2p Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 I am using A_Qualiy_World_Map_-_All_Roads_v5, BetterMales_Nudes_No TextureFaces_v2,Gloowing_Ore_Veins_300_v2.00, MidasSkyrin_008a, Skyrim_Weapon_Retex_Project-09a, SkyUI_2-1, Vals_Crafting_Meltdown_Full_Pack. They are all zip files and they are all in the Skyrim data folder.

[/quote'] did you put the zipped up files into the skyrim data folder? cause you have to extract it first and then put the actual files not the zip files into the data folder
gray2p Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 No I extacted but the mods just aren't working.
SummGai Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 alrighty, then i would suggest rather installing them manually you should use this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/content/modmanager/ the nexus mod manager is simple and easy to use, all you have to do is install it, and run it (make sure you have a nexus account), and all you do is add mods under the mod tab, no need for any extractions or sorting this thing does it automatically
gray2p Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 OK I already have the manager. Do I just put the mods in the folder before I run it and it will do the import for me. Right?
SummGai Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 nope what you said there will do nothing at all. so for you, once again, i have created a picture tutorial :D Step 1: Launch your mod manager and go under the mods tab (circled red) Step 2: Hit the puzzle piece (circled red) to open and load mods Step 3: Choose mod you want to load (circled red), note: you do NOT have to extract or put it ANYWHERE, as you can seeeeee i am loading a mod from my downloads folder in my desktop and that this mod is still in its zip file Step 4: Select the mod you want and hit the open button (circled red) Step 5: The mod will download into the manager (circled red) and when it is done it will appear under the mods tab (circled blue) Step 6: Chose the mod you wanna activate and then hit the puzzle piece with the green arrow (circled red) LOL msn xD Step 7: Congratulations you did it! if you want to deactivate a mod hit puzzle piece with the green arrow
gray2p Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 How do I keep Winzip from automatically opening my downloads?
gregathit Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Alright thank you. I use WinRAR myself and it is really good. 7.zip is pretty good too however. If you right click on a file you should get a menu to use another extraction program if you have one installed.
