Changing skin .dds texture (s)

More or less All i want to do is take the "Succubus race" mod skin texture
(When you use the shout power to trasnform into a succbus, it changes the body mod)
And change it from normal looking skin to a purple or redish hue when in succbus mode.

I assume this is more or less editing the skin texture from where it pulls the file just the same as it would be changing a .dds weapon texture ?

Am i right in assuming this ?
