Translation: "Hi, I downloaded 6 mods from here; 3 devious devices mods, defeat, death alternative, and a patch for FNIS. I believe one of these mods has something bad embedded into them but I don't know which since I went offline after downloading all 6 of them. You might want to look into it. Just a heads up."

More likely your Internet Service Provider went derpity derp (or did some maintenance) and they did something that caused you, along with others in your area, to go offline for a while. It's not that uncommon for it to happen.

Thamorian is the Rosetta Stone for LL..  ^_^

As for the OP - If you think or feel that one of the files has some form of a malicious file embedded, then I strongly advise that you use your anti-virus program to scan each of these 6 files to verify.

If you do find something, I suggest that you post to the various mod support topics with your findings.

I've been downloading from LL since 2013 and never had an issue.

And I do have all 3 devious and the defeat mods installed.

What FNIS patch are your talking about?

One would think that anyone who believes they got a virus here would first run their AV software before guessing.

Wouldn't one? :)

One would hope so, but the post lacks that bit of information  - so I'm hoping that it's just a matter of a difference in languages, even with Thamorian translation.

hey, I read this the other day, before any of the comments.    I took it to mean that whatever the OP put in the tag up there with the topic is what he/she was referring to finding.   Hacktool, Gendo, something or other.  But its in the tag with the topic.

I just took it to mean that he/she noticed whatever that is, after downloading files from here, and just wanted to give a heads up, just in case.

I don't want to criticize him too harshly because language differences can sometimes be drastic, but his post was very cryptic and vague to a lot of us.

He mentioned the 6 mods he downloaded, claimed they were from here, made a vague statement that he had problems and blamed it on viruses without even using the word "viruses" or explaining what it did to his computer.  Did not mention that he ran an anti-virus scan and thus did not even know which of the downloads (if any) caused him a problem.

Putting "HackTool/Gendo" in the thread tags and then saying "found that in a mod pack I got last night" is not the best way to communicate.  That's all I'm saying.  Thread tags are intended to help with searching, not with explanations.  Some of the Skyrim mods might give a false positive virus warning when installed.  But which ones?

Cigma, a bit more detailed information would be helpful whether you wanted to ask for help or just to warn others.  Your post didn't do either.

I agree with you 100%.      I only posted because from the context of the comments, I wasn't sure anyone caught what he put in the tag, and that seemed to be what he was referring to.

Cigma, if you read this, please heed  what halieslade said.
