CTD'ing

Could use some help figuring out what is causing this. I decided to finally switch from SOS to SAM, and like always Skyrim puts up a massive fight when anything new is installed.

Also, any idea where I should put SAM on the load order? BOSS doesn't touch it as it isn't a "usual" mod.

Boss is outdated, use LOOT instead, it tries to give you the best load order possible and apply it, it also informs you about errors/warnings on mods.

Along with that, use TES5edit, it helps you to see if there's a missing file (.esp/.esm)

Bumping this, any advice on what is causing the error?

As Bloodfang advice, use TES5Edit to check whether you have any missing (master) files.

ie. Some mods may still need SOS after you remove it.

If it doesn't work you'll have to test your game the hard way : disabling mods (try 5 by 5 it's easier to spot the issue).

Takes some time, but you'll find the source for sure. Usually it's a mod with scripts.

I run LOOT from MO and it's the LOOT report that gives me a list of the errors and warnings.  I use TES5Edit to work that report and clear up the conflicts and dirty edits.
