Mod Organizer Question

Is it possible to install mods via MO that install into the data folder like normal?  I'm only curious because right now I use NMM (read: Crashes since new update) and I don't mind my data folder being, well, junked up and actually kind of prefer that over the thought of using a virtual mod folder since I don't tend to switch out mods very often.

Also, if it's obvious and I'm an idiot feel free to call me one.  And also, what exactly does the NMM import button do?

Thanks :)

No, MO will always install mods using the virtual file system, that's the core of how the program works.

May I ask why you don't like that, though? Assuming your game and mods folder are on the same drive, you shouldn't even notice it!

Like a2b said, it's the main feature and the core strategy of how MO builds up the mods. There is no way of changing its mod handling. And the other also is right. There is no loss of speed, if MO and Skyrim are installed on the same drive. Imagine a house with several apartments. All, that MO does in the end, is switching several apartment numbers.

And the "NMM import" button, does, what it tells: It looks, which mod offers which files, and puts those into the folders that MO uses.

Letting MO install to its own virtual drives is exactly what allows you to set up different profiles so you can try different mod loads when you're trying out new mods or chasing a crash.

It's actually a great system.
