Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 But only when I browse threads that has lots of videos in it. It freezes (or my browser which is FF) for 1-2 seconds, and then it's all fine How is that? My PC is powerful (quadcore, 8GB RAM bla bla bla)
Ascian Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Might be Firefox. I guess the videos you mean are mostly from youtube, that means its using the flash player. There are alot of issues with the flash player lately, so you might want to try out chrome, since its using html5. If it runs good with chrome, then you know that its firefox causing that issue. I had something similar a few years ago with firefox.

mewwwkittytt Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Yeah same happens with me. If you look at the resource usage Flash w/ Firefox just keeps gobbling up more memory the longer you let it sit on pages with youtube videos, nexus pages are the worst. Might be worthwhile to support Firefox with a few dollars if you could spare it--because no one likes Google tracking our browsing. Oh I also set Flash to ask before running, a bar at the top shows up asking if you wish to let the current page or website run Flash or not. You could also try Noscript for selectively blocking/allowing youtube videos/flash.
Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 I do use Adblock, NoScript and Ghostery, and everytime I visit a new website, I have to manually set-up what to show and what not. As It is now, I can leave with the freezing. It's only just a big annoyance you when want to scroll down, to the bottom of page and it just freezes for a second or two and need to wait. I was just little curious, since it started maybe 1-2 weeks ago, but as Robonator said earlier, the issue with the Flash player has affected him too and so has it done with you. So, now I know it's nothing on my end at least.
