Crash in Bleak Falls Barrow

I'm in bleak falls barrow after killing the guy in the web and the dead guys come alive. After I kill one of them game will Crash to desktop....

So you kill one of the draugr and then it crashes so you're %100 sure you ran fnis and have the creature pack installed?

I have re run finis to be sure. I'm assuming by creature pack you are refering to the finis creature pack I have that installed yes.

I have also removed the portal mod and dangerous nights along with the others you mentioned except auto save

Ive had issues with vAutosaveManager.esp crashing when it trys to make a save alot of the time I ditched it months ago because of that.

Removed Autosave manager got to kill the first 3 drugar then crash when I killed the 3rd one.

Now it crashes whenever I try to load any of my saves.... At least I'm still on the opening quest.....

What skeleton do you have?

Try to update to the latest XPMSE if dont have it.

So far doing better I started a new game on the off chance it would help. I have managed to get past that ctd now. I'm thinking it might have had something to to do with having Vilja along with me in bleak falls. I did it without her on my fresh game seems to have worked.

Seems Vilja is my problem. I picked her back up in the inn and as soon as I did and tried to rest game crash.... sigh. I liked having new companions around.

Custom followers sometimes (for stupid reasons I can not understand) come with custom skeletons.

There is a chance that Vilja has her own skeleton, wich is not compatible with HDT and/or BBP.

Look in your meshes directory, find Vijla's dir (where her body is)and replace her skeleton with the one you are using (the latest XPMSE)

I suggest you do this with ALL custom followers that have a skeleton included.. At least I do.

Dont worry, her body/appearence will not be affected.

She dosn't have a skeleton that I could find. Under meshes actors character in her folder just has behaviors and _1stperson and in those two folders there is no nif files. Just 0master.xml 0_master.hkx and x0.bat....

I've been crashing around Bleak Falls Barrow too... And I have Vilja with me.

I don't see how her skeleton could be the issue, I thought it could be her combat dialogue causing a CTD, because I turned AI off and no Crash.

I'm not sure if dialogue can cause those crashes.

Yea not sure what it is about Vilja. I did a test I went as far as killing the first dragon without her no crashes. Loaded a save from just after bleak falls picked up vilja in the bannerd mare and start crashing randomly....
