In Triple X Tycoon the goal of the player is to found and develop a studio within the adult entertainment industry from the ground up. With Triple X Tycoon, players will get to experience the highs and lows of the adult entertainment industry from behind the scenes. The game will feature random events that may effect the growth of a studio or hinder performers. Volatile consumer trends are the norm. Extravagant award shows are commonplace, even performers come and go as time pushes on in an industry that makes big money on erotic indulgence. But that's just our description. So the purpose of our campaign is in fact to pay for art assets. Our team (as in personally) has already been pumping money into the process..here's an example of some of the changes we've made: BEFORE AFTER As you can see, major improvements were made pre-crowdfunding but we've reached a point where we need the help or the project is largely being scrapped or sterilized for mobile. Based on our goal ($1000) nobody on our core team is going to profit, not even the programmer who gets paid nothing. In short, it's all in the name of art and delivery of a finished product. The art problem is also why there's no demo yet. It's just not ready yet. If anyone wants to help out but can't tweet about it. Every little bit helps and we'll love you for it. Just draw several attractive female and male porn stars, as well as the sex scenes in GIF format, from the plain to a gangbang. I think your game will be instantly famous.

The Before and after shots provided is just an example of how hard we worked to scrape anything at all together in a very short amount of time. Our thinking was that although the screenshots aren't insane, they sure look better than they used to. The trailer is the way it is because again, we don't have much to work with. Triple X Tycoon in its current state is just scraps we pulled together to make something presentable. There is no budget to speak of.

In my guess, basically the game is a menu based game, which is occupied 95% of the entire game. Where you hired porn performers and film staffs thru the menu. Browsing and choosing the attribute. Manage the budget balance. Seeing the current trend of porn movie in the market. Setting up the film and shot. And then the sex scene start. That's all.

GECK.O's guess is as good as mine, I can't see too many details to expand a porn industry simulator. Looking at the interface, the gameplay must be:> Hire talents> Choose the theme of the movie> Film> Sell> Repeat Of course that may be a shallow impression. I can think of ways to improve the management part, looking a little at how things work in real life. They may or may not be useful to you, and some may be already in, but since the topic inspirated me I'll write then anyways, haha! - Talents Development/Decay: This could be a whole branch in the management part, and interesing enough to make a separate game about it I think. The way I see it, you could have two main lists of talents to hire: The regular ones and the professional ones. The regular ones could be people you can scout from the street with no fame and poor skills. You can make short term contracts with them, and as they film movies they will get better at it, and more popular with people if the movie was good. The professional ones would be popular from the start, and you can hire them for your movie, but they will be way too expensive and not recomended until you have enough popularity to sell enough to gain profit.This is optional, but as time passes the talents will start aging, and once they reach certain age (can depend on the particular actor) their demand and popularity will start to drop. After all, younger actors tend to be more popular. This should be more important with female talents, as a man can still be popular even if he is already in his forties (But few will buy a porn movie for it's male cast...unless it's a gay movie) - Selling on Internet: Since I believe most of the porn business is done with Internet nowadays, I think adding real publishers who will print and sell the copies to shops is...not as profitable (But a key part if you want to simulate things as they were on the 60's, a possiblity since the game tries it's best to look retro). Well, if internet is the way you get to sell the videos, there's a lot of things you can exploit. First, making a contract with some porn videos page to publish your movies so many people can see them. Once you are popular enough you can make your own page to sell them, thus getting more money since you don't need to pay anyone else. Second, deciding the lenght of the movie and the way you will sell it. Longer movies cost more money and need more cast to keep them interesing, meanwhile short movies can be done quickly and need few things (The type of movies you will do at first). When selling it, you could pick giving it for free, boosting your studio popularity a lot (and the actors too), selling it with demos (Meaning, with a free short video for people to see. Not very profitable but can sell well) or selling it with no demos (Good pick once you are very popular, thus selling more but with more risk (?)) - The cast behind the scenes: It's nice to focus on the talents on screen, but few know that having a good cameraman, illuminator, director, scripter and sound technician are truly important to make a good movie, even if it's porn. So hiring and developing people for those jobs can be another good part of the game. Training their skills to make better movies can be interesing, and you can even go further and make some kind of "player character" so you can start directing your movies or something. Or else you can cut down the director role and make the player to always be the director (easy way). - The scenario: Filming inside the same room over and over again is sad...very sad. Renting houses, mansions, hotels, parks, private beaches, sex dungeons, etc...can be very important. Each location will cost money, but you also need to mix it well with the attribute of the movie. I mean, a S&M movie will go way better in a dungeon rather than a beach. Oh wow, I think I wrote way WAY too much...well, I hope some of it is useful, as making a porn movie can be quite interesing. You got it TXT isn't much different from other tycoon games. Like you said, there is the base formula: > Hire/assign talents > Choose the theme of the movie > Choose a location > Film > Promote/Sell > Repeat In between you have your obvious things like award shows and other events. Reputation is a HUGE aspect of Triple X Tycoon, you hit the nail on the head. You're stuck with whoever you get off the corner before you can hit up any agency to take you seriously. It goes on and on and on. There's just no room for the whole damn design document here And this goes by era, again, like any other tycoon game. Motel lamps to studio lighting. VHS to VR. Releasing a demo now would be strapping our players to a cart and rolling them off a cliff. We just don't have the funds to support enough content for a proper playthrough.
