Guest Jezzy Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Hello! After a huge amount lot of time setting up my Skyrim game with Mod Organizer, i would like to backup the whole installation on a external HDD, just in case.... Whats the best way to backup my M.O. setup? Skyrim directory is pretty much vanilla (except for ENB) but my M.O. is huge and i really dont want to redo the very long (but very awesome) S.T.E.P. process. Can i just copy my M.O. folder?
Mister X Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 You need only two folders: - the "mods" folder (with content ^^) - the folder with the relating profile name out of the "profiles" folder (eg "profiles\LoversLab") Everything else you don't really need, the "mods" folder contains all installed mods and the profile folder contains the .ini settings together with the mod priority and the loading list. I'm not sure how well this will work, but you can try to .7z those folders, maybe that saves some space.
4onen Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 However, copying the above doesn't back up mods un-handled by MO. (Workshop, Nexus, SKSE version, etc.) For that, you'll have to note down the required versions and mods yourself.

If it's not mentioned differently, they are compatible to their older ones. So, basic setup with Skyrim itself, SKSE, Wrye bash, etc.: Build it up with the latest versions Then, you can load back your mods.
