Tera Armors lost their calculated armor values.

Using Mod Organizer. Tera Armors from this mod and it's dependency here: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/909-tera-armor-cba-bodyslide-hdt-zaps-addon/

TL;DR: Tera armor ratings are the base value of the armor in the esp (I looked using tesvedit). I know it's not load order, because an alternate minimal profile has the same problem.

So I'm playing last night, and at some point my goal armor (tera deathshell, a daedric-like in all respects) stopped appearing in the smithing page as ~280 armor rating for crafting, but is now ~57. It's not just that armor, it appears to be all tera armors. It was working properly... then at some point within an hour or so, not.

I've reinstalled the mod from scratch and fucked around with load order. But other profiles (with completely different and less complex mod lists) are the same.

Any suggestions on what to check?

Only thing that I can think of is: are you using any skyrim combat/perk whatever overhauls like Skyre etc. since such mods change your armor value depending on perks, stamina, level or whatever so since we don't know what mods you are using this is the the easiest and only thing that I can think of

I would not know whatever other mod change these values and it has to be a mod obviously.

On my main install, yes there's all kinds of shit . . . perkus max, and other shit.

On the "clean" install, there are no mods of the sort and it still doesn't work. So I'm thinkin installed mods don't matter.

Try a new game with your "clean" install because its obvious something is changing the values and the only thing that does that are mods also scripts may still persist in your savegame even with deactivated mods thats why I'm curious about how it looks with a new savegame since on a new savegame there should be no scripts running with a clean install of course.

(Hoping to resurrect this topic so we can get a solid answer)

I'm experiencing a similar problem. All of the Tera armors have extremely low (comparative) armor ratings. For example, on all of my characters, steel armor has an armor rating ~130 and the deathshell hauberk (which you said should probably be on par with daedric) is sitting at a measly ~50.

same thing for you you must have a mod that changes armor values like skyre, perkus maximus, whatever that makes your vanilla armor ratings higher and therefore the tera armors seem to be weak

I thought it was already determined that this could not be the problem, as OP stated he has the same problem with the clean install.

EDIT: Just reread the post and realized OP never responded after you mentioned starting a new game on the clean install to make sure he is free of scripts. Maybe that was the fix he was looking for.

that wasn't the fix. I didn't respond because, as I said, it was a CLEAN INSTALL. Clean as in no scripts or mods.

In mod organizer I have several profiles. In different profiles with advanced characters that are NOT running Perkus Maximus or the like, there's the same problem and my overwrite dir is clean.

As said in the OP, I was playing along, when I noticed that the armor values had changed. seemingly ignoring armor or smithing skills. When I started playing, all was fine. and at some point while I was playing, the values changed.

What I'd like to do is re-spec skills. Since it seems that it has lost the math, perhaps by starting from zero skills and upping 1 perk at a time, it might just refresh the math. There's no simple way to do that tho... it would require console play that I've not felt like bothering with.

The problem must be with Perkus Maximus altering armor values, but as far as I can tell, Patchus Maximus recognizes the Tera armors and categorizes them appropriately (e.g. armor containing the "Deathshell" substring is treated as Deadric, as it should be).

EDIT: I suppose I may just alter these settings to not scale the armor values at all and get it back to vanilla-ish armor and weapon ratings.

EDIT AGAIN: Not sure what your problem is since you're not using Perkus on some of those profiles, but I have to think that my problem is Perkus related.

Yeah I'd even rebuilt PM on that profile, to no avail. What I wound up doing was forgoing those outfits to finish the mod (falskaar) and will just fix it on the next playthru.
