Trankar77 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Hey everyone. First off, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I couldn't find anywhere else I thought would fit better.Anyways, I've been trying to edit a piece of Armor in Blender lately, and after trying for a few hours, decided to come here for help.I'm trying to remove a part of the armor, but I simply can't make it work. Was hoping someone might be kind and guide me through it, or even do it for me, although the latter is probably unlikely.
MikeJones84 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 If the pieces aren't connected you can remove them in nifskope. Just open up the nif, click the part you want to remove, then right click and Block->Remove Branch and save.
Trankar77 Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Tried that, but they are connected, so I figured I need to edit the Mesh somehow.
yatol Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 what don't work? after importing the nif in blender, in edit mod, you select what you want to remove, delete, and it's gone after exporting the nif, don't bother with it, 12 83, you copy paste the mesh into the original nif, and put back sbp_x and the textures
Trankar77 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 First step is one of the problems. When I import the .nif into Blender, it doesn't show up, I get an error. So I read somewhere I had to import the .obj instead.Doing that, I was able to remove the part I wanted to remove, but then more problems happened, because when I tried to export as a .nif, only the armor shows up in Nifskope, with no body.Tried to copy the branch into another Nifskope thing (I wanted to merge the 2 armors, basically), but then it's 2 different Nif versions.
