Crash only when loading first save

My game seems stable. It doesn't crash (or very rarely) while I'm playing or when I load a save from within the game.

 

But it often crashes loading the first save after booting up the game. Sometimes I just need to try again and it works; with some saves it just refuses.

 

I *think* it's down to SoS since it seems to happen in cells with male npcs but really I'm guessing.

 

Here's my load order. I used LOOT then moved the sexlab mods down to the end (preserving the order) followed by requiem (as I read that advice here somewhere).

It is typical, especially once you start having mods with a number of scripts. I think the game just gets overwhelmed by everything starting, especially if there is already something going on. I have to load a save where nothing is happening (usually a save from just after character creation) then load the game I want.
