TheTriumphator Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Here is my load order. I'm using mod organizer to try to start a new game. The alternate start mods do not work and neither do the loading screens. The Helgen sequence proceeds normally except it does not give me the option to customize my character and I stay as a male Nord. loadorder.txt
gvman3670 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Why are you using the SUM patcher? BOSS and SUM are pretty much obsolete now. LOOT is the new BOSS these days. Alternate Start LAL needs to be dead last in your load order. You also seem to be missing all the Unofficial Patches. Have you tried running LOOT yet to sort your LO? You probably should. These days it works better than BOSS because the master list for BOSS hasn't been updated in some time and LOOT doesn't need a list (it searches for mod dependancies).
gvman3670 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Also, is this using MO on a clean install, or did you start using MO with a dirty Skyrim/data folder?
TheTriumphator Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 This was on a dirty skyrim/data folder. i sort via the MO sort button. It says it's running loot. I have tried LAL as last in the load order first.
gvman3670 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 You need to get a clean, fresh Skyrim folder. You may as well not even be running MO if you're going to have a dirtied up, broken Skyrim folder. The whole point of using MO is to avoid that (it doesn't put anything in the Skyrim/data folder, that's how it prevents the need for future reinstalls). I'd suggest wiping Skyrim and reinstalling it. THEN try to figure out your issues.
TheTriumphator Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 Well there go another 4 hours lol.
gvman3670 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Yeah, I know. But the good news is that as long as you use Mod Organizer (and actually install mods with it) you won't have to do it again unless you have a Windows crash or a hardware malfunction. It will keep your Skyrim folder intact. I have a feeling that you're over the limit on mods since the LO won't count the mods installed into the Skyrim folder. And MO/LOOT can't sort those either.
