lighting mod

Can anyone recommend an engine-based lighting mod like realistic lighting overhaul that is more fantasy-based vs. realistic (brighter, colorful, intense), and isnt an enb (I can't take the performance hit of enb).

I use "I Can't Believe it's NOT an ENB". http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48554/?

Check it out and it's suggested mods (Enhanced Light and FX, Climates of Tamriel and Imaginator). It has nearly no performance hit (once I got a couple extra frames somehow). And with Imaginator you can adjust the color palette, brightness, saturation and all kinds of stuff on the fly in a MCM menu. And if you add Dynavision it looks very, very much like you're using an ENB.

It might be something that works for you.

Download GEMfx here

Then get Realistic Shader for Skyrim preset for GEMfx

imaginator

imaginator MCM menu

Dynavision for a touch of blur

If you're running enboost, just rename the gemfx d3d9.dll to something unique, like gemfx_d3d9 and then change this part in the enblocal.ini:

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=gemfx_d3d9.dll

The gemfx configurator is much, much nicer than the sweetfx config, and it combines sweetfx settings within it.. I've modified the provided configuration a bit from the realistic shader preset quite a bit to fit my own tastes which include ICBINE2 dpx settings. Then adjusted more things with imaginator mcm menu. I'm running CoT and relighting skyrim and quite like the way it turns out.

There you go. More than one way to skin a sabrecat.

hehe, I still likeI can't believe it's not enb so much I'm using some of the settings within that new shader. (overlay?postprocessing? something like that)
