Can't equip an armor part...

Hello guys,

 

I recently added to my game that armor : http://modtype.doorblog.jp/archives/42767078.html

 

And on my new character lvl 8, i can equip it without a problem. But on my main character lvl 40, for some reasons... i cant equip the neck. I tried to use the command "unequipall" on my character but still impossible to equip the neck part. 

 

If someone know how to fix that, thank you in advance. ^.^

So what is happening when you try equip it? Nothing at all, (like not being marked being equipped in the inventory screen) or does it just not show up on your character at all?

Mmh... When i click on it i can hear the noise... Its like the armor part try to equip. But no, its not marked as equipped and not visible on my character.

Dumb question, but are you using the same body mod for both characters? Don't think it should matter though.

I had a similar issue long time ago. The necklace itself were equipped, but it wasn't showing up on my character.

Not until I changed armor. Then it would show up again.

 

Have you tried equipping only the necklace as well?

Yes i use the same body for both characters. And the armor is not equiped, when i click on it, only a noise but nothing else. The armor part is like a necklace, but not recognized as a necklace by skyrim, just an armor part.

 

Its like on my main character, the slot of that armor part is already taken by a locked armor (like some devious devices stuff), but im wearing no locked armor and even when i use the "unequipall" on my char i still cant equip it. So yes, even when im wearing no other armors, i still cant equip it.

Sorry, I can't come up with any better solutions. It would be easier to pinpoint if it's was across the board so to speak.

But since it's seems to only affect your low level alt, I have no idea what can cause it.

 

You could always try to load an older save file, equip the necklace, load another save, equip the necklace again, and keep doing it until you hit the wall.

You could also create a few new characters, and then use the console to give you the necklace, to see if it's really just your low level the issue occur with or other low levels as well.

Ohh yeah, you're right

I got it all wrong. I guess the lack of sleep was the villain of the piece

 

Can you please post your load order? Maybe there is a mod that cause something to your Main only.

Well, I simply think your main has bugged out. Since I suffer slightly from ADD, I lost concentration half-way through the list, but I don't think there is anything wrong.

My last advise I can provide, is what I wrote earlier (about loading older saves) but do it for your main only.

 

It might tedious, but start with the oldest and then use console or whatever to get the armor/necklace and equip it.

Equip both, and then equip them separately and keep doing that until you reach a point where it wont work anymore.

Maybe you reach a point when you do this, and will remember, "ahh yes, I did this [insert random thing here]" and can work from there.

 

You can also try to put everything of value for you in a chest or something (that don't re-spawn) and then use console, target yourself and type removeallitems

save and then load that very save. Maybe even restart the game all together.

 

That's all I can think of atm. Hopefully someone else with far more knowledge can help later on.
