Yuni Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 So I have had this trouble numerous times, and it's always the same thing, when tweaking stuff in the creation kit. I want to change the slot something uses, usually because it conflicts with some other abstract choice of personal wear accessory. I go into the Creation Kit, I go to the armor piece itself, under "Armor", and I change the slot. I hit OK. I save it. I know you need to change the Armor Addon to the SAME SLOT, so I go to the related AA under the menu (AA stands for Armor Asset), and I change that doodad's slot to the SAME SLOT, hit OK, and save it. Then, the item no longer appears on my character in-game when I equip the item, despite the fact that the Armor Asset (AA) file and Armor file match on the slot used. I know if the slot values in the various files that make up a given piece of armor do not match, the item will quietly refuse to show like that, but is there another type of file required to make an armor piece?? The AA and armor file both freakin' match on the new slot, so -something- is being forgotten, but I don't know what! Ideas, anyone?
fizzybutt Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 You have to change it in creation kit and in nifskope. Here's a good tutorial. I used this when learning how. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/576983-tutorial-assign-meshes-to-new-body-parts/
