BZKturtle Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I encountered a strange bug last night. So I have Bijin Warmaidens (BW) installed. In the BW mod, Mjoll is set to walk feminine, whereas the default skyrim walk for Mjoll is masculine. Now, all NPCs like Mjoll which were done by BW have been set to walk feminine, and they all do... except for Mjoll. I discovered this when I went down to Riften for the first time. Keep in mind that I had not met Mjoll before. My first thought was that something is overwriting BW so I opened up TESVEdit and checked for any conflicts with the Mjoll NPC. There were none, especially at the "opposite gender animation". I started a brand new game, got to Riften and found that in this new game Mjoll is walking just fine, in a feminine manner as dictated by BW mod. Same load order, same mods, no change. So my question is, what the hell happened to Mjoll NPC? Why is she not walking properly, given the conflict-free BW mod? Why is she walking alright in a brand new save with the same modlist and load order? If this is a glitched save, how can I fix it? P.S.: I tried enabling and disabling her; I even tried "setrace" on her, sexchange as well. It baffles me that she is glitched on a save where I had not come across her before.
eifrag Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 you're stuck with that until you start a new game sorry

Yeah, the opposite gender anims flag is recorded in your save and there is no easy way to change it. There is, however, a hard way to change it using HLP (hot load plugin). Before doing this it is important to understand that hot loading a plugin gives it top priority in the game meaning that it will override any other mods that affect the same forms regardless of load order - it will literally be loaded last. Make a backup save just in case things go south. Identify all the followers that are affected by the BW mod and remove from them any important items/equipment. Find a cell with none of those followers present. Open the console and enter hlp "Bijin Warmaidens.esp" Go find Mjoll and see if she's using the feminine animations. This can have some adverse effects on your game. If anything at all is wrong use your backup save. It is possible to do this with several mods if you need to perform overrides. For instance I would get Lydia's animations back to the feminine state by using HLP with the Feminine Females mod which would also give her the default appearance, I would then use HLP again with my custom Lydia mod to get her appearance back.
BZKturtle Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Hey S ailing Rebel Thanks a lot! This worked! Now, I have a bashed patch and and an ASIS SkyProc patch running in the same game. Does Hot Loading a plugin like this cause any issues with the load order in the grand scheme of things as they are set in the patches I mentioned? I wouldn't think so as everything looks fine in the load order, but was curious about your view.

It doesn't change anything outside of the current save and so far as I've seen if there is nothing immediately and obviously wrong then there are no adverse effects. HLP was only really intended for statics so it will not work for everything in the current game. Bethesda thread on HLP
