fenrir19 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 yo guys, i have some problem, my characters face looks kinda blocky, and i use the latest racemenu, and ECE in ECE description where installing, theres option for vertext edit rite ? where is this option in showracemenu ? srry for bad grammar and thx before
fizzybutt Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 You don't need Ece anymore. The mesh sculpt editor in racemenu is in the beta runs here on the lab. Keep in mind it's way, way different than the vertex editor and I suggest getting the citrus head, (It makes a HUGE difference when editing) look on the last page (maybe second to last for the v3b15) http://www.loverslab.com/topic/39343-racemenu-v3b/page-12?do=findComment&comment=1022615 oh, you already have it. Well, the vertex edit, I dunno but if you look in the top right of showracemenu, you'll see the sculpt tab.
Rayblue Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 DO NOT use ECE with the current version of Racemenu -- they are now incompatible. You must use ECE or Racemenu only. At the moment only ECE has the ability to face sculpt.

And it's mesh sculpting, not vertex editing like ECE has.
XJ347 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 My only issue isn't actually with Racemenu, it's with Citus head and Racemenu. NPCs faces lose the ability to be manipulated with MFG commands with Citrus.  Would love undo commands on Racemenu but I assume that will come with time.
Rabblerouser Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 The RaceMenu beta has turned me into a RaceMenu loyalist... but at the same time, I don't like how everyone's suggesting RaceMenu right now as if it was a finished project. There are still dents that need hammered out. ECE's sculpting is in the release version.. RaceMenu's is not (though it's getting there). It's still in beta. If you must, let me drive home the fact that it's a beta and therefore subject to some speedbumps, odd behavior and lack of a certain degree of polish i.e. at the time of this writing, the preset save/load has no way to delete presets and there's some problems with expected functionality vs. what you get. But then again, this just got added to the beta, so there's reason for it to be as it is. tl;dr: If you use the RaceMenu beta, expect hiccups.
Rayblue Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 At the moment only ECE has the ability to face sculpt. I used both in different playthroughs, to be clear. The release version of Racemenu only has a placeholder and it's barely functional preview until the next update (hopefully), while the one that comes with ECE is a completely working system. My only issue isn't actually with Racemenu, it's with Citus head and Racemenu. NPCs faces lose the ability to be manipulated with MFG commands with Citrus. Would love undo commands on Racemenu but I assume that will come with time. Probably because the MFG mod was originally made by its Japanese author who usually uses ECE and more likely Ran46's headmeshes, so you may have been seeing different outcomes with that Citrus headmesh.

It is very functional. The link I provided above is to the last page of the Racemenu v3beta. It currently is nearly finished with working updates at v3b15. That's what I linked to. You must be using 2.9.6 to not be able to edit your face meshes. It doesn't take anything special either, just load it up into MO and let it override everything. Now if you are using loose base scripts you just have to pull the same scripts out of the bsa of the v3beta that you are using and use those instead. No it isn't finished, but it's working and getting better with every update. I haven't noticed any huge hiccups yet. Nothing that's not my own slow-assed computers fault or user error. If you read through that thread, you can see where they're discussing the ece/racemenu compatibility with switching ece presets. And with the new citrus head, old edits for either aren't any good anyway as Rabblerouser mentioned (If you've read through the citrus head/and body thread) I switched to the citrus head last night because the asian doll head didn't have enough vertices to make decent sculpt edits and I started a new character because I was afraid to test the 'you have to do this this and this to get it to show up for saves that didn't use it'. The undo feature in the sculpt window is already working (I'm using it like crazy) Hopefully we will see a complete history undo someday but it's not really that big of a deal with what it is now.
Rayblue Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 (offtopic) I'm using only 2.9.6. (and not beta, unless I have to use my current playthrough as a guinea pig, and I've just came from a weeklong attempt to salvage it, thinking some script had fucked it up).

Been using Rm3 for my full playthroughs since the first beta. No problems whatsoever. I'm one hell of a lucky guy.
fenrir19 Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 b-but i stil prefer ECE to ceate my chacarcter face can i make beautiful character too with racemenu latest version ?

Rayblue Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Citrus is a high-poly headmesh, which I read is compatible with both common body mods.

NPCs faces lose the ability to be manipulated with MFG commands with Citrus.  Would love undo commands on Racemenu but I assume that will come with time. Just take the Standalone Citrus Head version then, you can still use MFG expressions on your own face, and use old head meshes for NPCs. I don't think it would be impossible on NPCs if it's possible on PC though, but I haven't tried so I'm not going to talk out of my ass. Undo commands are already on, unless you exit the sculpt window and change sliders and then come back to sculpt window, in which case you can't do it anymore, but as long as you stay on that window you can sculpt, undo, redo, undarebadidabido etc.
