[WIP] Unnamed sexy but not whore-like armor [UNP]

Since my old thread is not fitting the purpose anymore I decided to create a new thread to keep you guys constantly up to date.

 

My goal is to create an armor which is sexy on the one hand, but not exposing the females vagina, breasts or ass,

like unfortunately a lot of custom armors right now do.

It should look like "yeah, this is really giving me some protection!" while not being some flesh in a tin.

 

Concept and Inspiration:

(So nobody says "dude, thats stolen!". To make it clear: yes, I steal ideas and looks of goodlooking stuff to create this. I'm not taking any meshes or textures without permission though!)

This is just the stuff I took a closer look at to get an idea of what the result of my armor should or can look like.

 

WIP Status:

 

 

Explanation:

Yes, it's still not very much armor, I know that.

There are a lot of belts and smaller steel plates (specially on the arms) to come.

One leg should be covered in steel (up close to the hip) the other one gets knee-high leather boots (maybe with some lace).

 

Most important to begin with was to cover the private parts to avoid instantly what I hate: boobs and genitals popping out.

I added underwear since I think there is just no reason to let her fight without some. Although she might kill everybody fighting her, I think she still doesn't want to show her privates to all those nasty enemies when making her battlemoves.

Same with a full covered chest armor.

The skirt is still pretty few cloth, so there will be some hip protection added. (It's not like "uh, it's a woman, don't punsh her on the hips!" a thief or draugr doesn't care at all.)

Although same thoughts would apply to a naked belly, I will most likely not cover that. Just because I think a beautifull belly is sexy - simple as that.

Maybe I add a few leather belts there, but not more.

 

I welcome ANY suggestions to ANYTHING at ANYTIME.

Just remember to give constructive criticism, "it's crap" doesn't make it better ;-)

So this is actually not what I wanted to post in the 1st place. I wanted to suggest to make 1 pauldron bigger but... then I looked again on this pic.

 

I mean this is almost what I WOULD WANT!

 

But I, like You don't want a revealing armor.

 

So...

 

IMO.

 

1.Use that pic as a base. Add the skirt You already made ( maybe modify the pants so they would cover her legs and butt down till the armored legs part ).

 

2.Then put a belt, something like on the 2nd pic, that will fully cover her belly. Alternatively just fill it with chainmail or plate.

 

3.Remove the wings from the greaves. They look silly .

 

4.Leave the gloves leather but maybe add some steel to knucles?

 

5.Armored face guard ( I think thats how it's called ) and one of the pauldrons bigger look sexy and badass!

 

6.Skyrim is a cold and brutal place. We don't need females running with their body parts unclothed.

I must say... the name of this thread really caught my attention. "Sexy but not whore-like" --- This is exactly the kind of armor I look for when I create a female character to play through on.

 

I just downloaded the FFXIII-2 Lightning armor... it's sexy but not whore-like... Well there is a skimpy version but I don't use it.

 

Back to the subject though... I'm looking forward to your creation! I wish you the best of luck as I am a firm believer that armor can be extremely sexy and not too revealing!

I love the idea you've got going on here. I don't really know what to say as of now, but when it gets closer to being finished I'm sure I'll have a few things to say.

 

Sometimes I like wearing a bikini in skyrim, most times I want to look good without exposing all of my character haha. Love the idea, and good luck!

Decent armor mods have been pumping ever so slowly into Skyrim as of late. All people are making are retextures... anyone want to show me how to create my own armor?

Coming from a female perspective, I absolutely hate when I see a new armour file go up on the nexus and check and go and look and see that it would be better fitting under the clothing section, specifically the 'underwear' section, LOL. I personally wear full body armour on my character, but I love armour that shows of some curves.

Duno if you've seen the Witch Elves of warhammer, but this may be something to look at. The second one is kinda pushing the limit before its more 'whore'ish, but badass all the same.

You can have all my yes. That design is really awesome :] It's how high elves are supposed to look, IMO of course. Though it doesn't fit the thalmor nazi regime, but who cares about them? I slay the bastards on sight.

 

Also, yeah - I think that instead of just making a one, big pile of everything, it would be better if you made several armors, basing one piece on 2 concept arts *at most*. I draw a little and I pretty much jump at every chance to play with character creators/designers and I know that when you try to put too many elements in, you only get an unrecognizable mess out of it. "Elegance through simplicity" - that's my motto :>

I'm looking forward to see this live, since this is one of the best concepts for Skyrim so far...and it's original, which makes it even better.

 

 

Just make sure to remove the leg clothing on that armor for female because it will look sexier(but not slutty) if it shows some leg.

The leg armor in the second is just what I was looking for, that perfectly fits the shoulders

 

and I like the little hip plate things, I think I will add something like that (little bigger though)

Of all the pics in the first post, only pic number 2 looks like "sexy but not whore like" armor.

 

#1 is DEFINATELY a whore armor...there are so many retarded looking armors like this its not even funny anymore. seriously...there is literally no armor from the breasts to the knees

#3-#5 is just plain ugly

 

btw, it would be great if your leg armor started from the knees, like regular armor, not the thighs (like whore armor).

no what i mean is that the accepted definition of "whore armor" in games like skyrim is that the girl is completely covered in armor except her belly, private parts, and topmost part of her thighs(upper legs). just like picture 1.

 

sexy armor is basically armor that does not show off her vagina...unlike picture 1.

 

Well I guess what i am trying to say is that please don't make an armor like pic 1. There's so many of those its ridiculous.
