So the Original author has long abandoned his project and I decided to pick it up since he has the "WTFPL" license for his mod. :D

Original Mod - NPC's of Dibella
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27427/?

Quick Things to Mention
1. NPC's will look either better or worse depending on the body meshes/textures you've installed, usually much better. So don't rely on the pictures to see what they will look like in your game. They will look different, it's only to give them better hair and facial structure than the vanilla. They look great in my game, i'm sure they'll look good in yours.
2. All USKP changes are present in these mods, so they won't act weird by itself, OTHER MODS CAUSE THE PROBLEM.
3. This is completely compatible with most mods, as long as they don't change NPC records.
4. This is not a skimpy, whore-adding, slut-making, or waifu mod. This overhaul is just to make females look better than vanilla. That's it, nothing more, nothing less.
5. THIS ONLY MODIFIES FEMALES
Description
It's an overhaul of all female NPCs in game minus beast races. Check the Q&A section for details.

  • Tweaks virtually all females
  • Removes dirt, most age lines, rough skin and freckles
  • Replaces vanilla hair with better quality hair and more variety
  • Keeps everything else vanilla. This includes warpaint, hair color, eye color and face shape
  • Supports Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn DLCs
  • Dozens of hours spent in TES5Edit cleaning and merging to create a very stable mod

Installation
After you have the required files which you can see bellow, install the main file via any mod installer you have, overwrite when necessary.

Requirements
The Facegendata from NPC's of Dibella (Delete the esm and esp, you only need the meshes and textures folder installed)
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27427

ALL Unofficial Skyrim Patches
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23491/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31083/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25127/?

All These Hair Packs (You just need the files, not the esm/esp's)

ApachiiSkyHair by Apachii
There are two hair packs you need from this mod

  • Download and install the main "ApachiiSkyHair" package
  • Download and install the optional "ApachiiSkyHairFemale" package

Cazy hairs by zzjay
There is only one hair pack you need from this mod

  • Download and install the main "Cazy Hairs" package

Ren Hair Reworked by Jay

  • Download and install from the link. It doesn't have a nexus link and the author asks that it not be uploaded to nexus.

When later versions of these mods come out, I don't see any reason there would be a compatibility issue.

In the end, you'll have the following esm/esp files:
ApachiiHair.esm
ApachiiHairFemales.esm
Cazy Hairs-by zzjay.esp
RenHair.esp

Uncheck all four of these unless you want to use one of those for your own character. This mod only requires the meshes and textures. Having too many hairs loaded into the showracemenu will cause a CTD (limitation of the game engine). "NPCs of Dibella - Resources.esm" from this mod is what includes the hair resources for the NPCs and excludes the player to keep the showracemenu from CTDing.

You may also want to check out ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer which seems to resolve the CTD with too many hairs.

If you do not have these requirements or complain about certain ones you don't want included that's too bad, not going to work on it.
Make sure you have the facegendata installed and overwriting any other mods. The facegendata will never change as I don't have the skill to modify NPC appearance, only the esp's NPC changes when the UKSP updates.
Questions and Answers
Which hair a NPC gets?

  • Rich people get more lush hair
  • Poor people get more rugged and plain hair
  • Guards, warriors and bandits get hair that is more pulled back (so it doesn't get in their faces in combat ofc)
  • Mages, necromancers and witches get a mix of rugged, plain and lush hair.
  • Thalmor get a mix of lush, plain and rugged hair, though more often lush.
  • Bar maids get lush hair
  • NPCs with an old hag voices keep age face maps

Why did you do this mod?
Do you use those nice skimpy armor replacers? I do. And I'm tired of seeing ugly women in a thong! ( Though mod is still great without skimpy armors :D )

Will this work with CBBE/UNP/UNPB/ADEC/etc?
It will work with any body mod

Which face texture is required?
It will work with any face texture

How can I help reduce the neck seam (if there is any)?
I personally use are the following mods to help keep the skin consistent looking:

No More Ugly Bronze Shine for consistent "_sk" textures
Dry Skin for consistent "_s" textures

I'll have those overwrite any base skin texture I use (Mature skin, SG, etc).

Is there a performance hit?
Yes. Higher quality hair meshes and a much larger number of them all equates to more intense system load. I personally only see like a 1-2FPS hit (if even that much) with a high end system that I have. Though others have seen more.

I'm seeing the grey head bug! What do I do!?
Load this mod's esp bellow any mod that alters NPCs. The only exception is if you have another mod that has a couple (or even just one) modded NPC(s) that you want to have overwrite mine (you'll also want to overwrite the facegen data I include in my mod for those NPCs). A common cause is UFO. ASIS is another one. Load my mod below these. I personally load my mod at the bottom of my load list with a custom BOSS rule. You also shouldn't need to export facegen data since the facegen data is under the required mods from the original. I didn't change any of the faces so it should still work.

Does that mean this mod isn't compatible with UFO/ASIS/etc?
It's very compatible. I use those mods personally.

Compatibility
Works with:

  • Any Follower Framework - Load after
  • Any body mod
  • Any skin texture
  • Any mod that has nothing to do with modifying NPCs

Notes:

  • Conflicts with any other mods that modifies the vanilla NPCs (or at least the NPCs I've edited thus far). If you have a mod that you want to have overwrite this one, then just install it after this and make sure it's esp is lower in the load order.

Promises much.

which cazy hairs ? there are 3 main files. one female texture fix, one female meshes and weights and one male. ray hairs at depostit files i dont see any chance for a download button.

It shouldn't even matter if you install all of them you only need meshes and textures.

But it's just the cazy hair pack, the named one. Cazy Hairs NEW texture fix

I see the Ren Hairs just fine and I just downloaded a new one to make sure. Trying clearing cache and cookies.

Try the regular download button.

not the meshes for the cazy hairs ? hmm. ren regular download Botton leads you to another page where np further downlad is.registeration does not help.

that download has the meshes included.....

And you probably have redirects or are clicking the wrong thing, because I can download it just fine.

Would it be possible to get this without the USKP dependency?  No offense to those guys but they "fix" things that aren't broken.

Nope, make it yourself :D The original version is on nexus.

Also, There's zero reason NOT to use the patches, they fix many things that ARE broken compared to what isn't broken.

I have all the hair mods but some NPC's such as Camilla Valerius have purple hair (missing texture). The meshes all seem to be present. Also when I check the hairs in race menu they all have textures. I am using the Ren Hair reworked from this link http://www.loverslab.com/topic/6196-ren-hair-reworked/because I couldn't get the other one to download. Also I'm using the latest version of crazy hairs which has a texture fix so that might have altered paths for the textures you are using. Which hair pack does Camilla use?

Hey nice mod, I have a question about mods and the greyface bug.

By "mods that change the npcs", do you mean mods that change the npc's appearance, or just anything about them? I have two mods that i think might be causing the issue but i'm not sure which is the culprit. I have amorous adeventures and perkus maximus, and i noticed that you said you might be releasing a separate PerMa version for this. Is that what's giving me greyface? I've only tested it on 2 characters, carlotta and ysolda in whiterun, both have the greyface issue.

Come to think of it I also have SexLab solutions, which i suppose changes the npc dialogue options as well and also immersive wenches + the wardrobe. I'm not sure what is conflicting basically.

You need the meshes + textures from the original mod installed.

I have them, and i deleted the .esm and .esp of the old mod version. I kept all the hair .esps though, as i wanted more hairs for my khajit PC. I downloaded the UKSP without SkyRe version of this mod, because I wasn't sure it was needed for PerMa.

The SkyRe version only has the leveled ememies plugin as a master.

I use that version ALONG with PerMa.

Nicely done, though I wish it was stand alone, all those hair packs I don't actually use ... :)

Well, you don't have to use the ESP's from the hair packs, it is completely standalone.

You only use the hair packs ESP's/ESM's if you want to use them for your own char.

You just need the meshes/textures.

....... I don't even....

Absolutely nothing, the hair packs don't modify the vanilla game in whatsoever way. Just don't use the ESP/esm's that come with them. Just the meshes/textures

If you don't install the hair packs I told you to, you will get NPC's with fk'd up hair, purple textures, missing meshes. etc etc

Super Lore friendly hair and what not, only affects vanilla hair.

This should be rather apparent.

  • 1.1
  • Updated for Unofficial Skyrim Patch - 2.1.1 as of 4/04/15
  • Dropped support for SkyRe - Enemies Scaling (way to many NPC's to edit)
  • Safe to just drop and replace old esp without clean save. Only a few faction, and package updates.

Finally bothered to update this. I personally updated it myself for personal use, but forgot to update this version here on LoversLab. Sorry bout that :D
