Gauntlets for single arm?

how can I delete/hide the other gauntlet?  

 

I'm modeling my PC like this and I can't get it right til I remove the right gauntlet

You can do it in NifSkope if the two gauntlets are seperate pieces/blocks.

nifskope did the trick but what if there's nothing underneath the gauntlets?

 

 

if I remove all the pieces I'd end up with a chopped hand
