Hello, I followed this tutorial :

Importing Armour models into Skyrim Tutorial 1-0 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3746/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D3746%26preview%3D&pUp=1

to import some armors for my characters. I began with something more like an exercice, replacing here the bandit armor with something else I built with different vanilla armor parts, not extraordinary but a good start from my point of view.

The final result makes me cringe, I think my problem concerns probably the skinning. My only relief is that I got the texture links right in nifskope (at least) but well, even this is not perfect as it's kind of glowing (?) like a plastic bag.

I'm using :

- 3ds max 2010

- Nifskope

- photoshop CS5.5

- Muscular Woman bodymesh (by Elmanouche)

did you reweight these parts?

i put 1 to a bone and let bodyslide take care of that (it does a better work than blender auto weight)

in nifkope put 0 bone in the bsdismemberskin and nitriskindata

then load it in bodyslide

and copy paste bone weight

No, I didn't reweight anything, I crossed fingers and hoped for the best, I'm not fond of skinning. What do you mean by "put 1 to a bone" btw ? Is it in the "envelope properties" ? The "weight table" ? (... I hate skinning  )

And.... "bodyslide" ? *search google*

:o  I didn't know this one ! (no wonder my mesh is all wacko...) So you just use it and it's done ? I'll try this, thanks for the tip
