Scripts went crazy on a new game

I've only about 7 hours on this save, but right now the # of active scripts is 18,000!

I have absolutely no clue why this is happening, some of my older saves that have over 100 hours on them usually have less than 30 active scripts running at any time.  But I've not install any new mods or add any sort of edits that would merit this issue.  I looked over the various saves at 1, 2, 3-etc hours of the game and it started at 20 scripts then increased to 500, then 1000, then 5000, and so forth.

It's gotten to the point where I am getting excessive lag on any mod script events (such as placing campfires through Frostfall; 10 seconds for the campfire to spawn after pressing activate)  Even iHud's functions such as hiding my crosshair are lagging.

I tried adding an edit to Skyrim's ini in the papyrus section but my FPS gets slashed in half when I do it (60->30 fps)  And even then it still lags...

The only thing I can think of is that so far in this game run I have avoided entering any cities with gates.  Is it possible that I'm triggering scripts without allowing them to finish?  I've no experience in issues like this.

Relevant mods -

Frostfall, Realistic Needs and Diseases +Realistic Water Two patch, Interesting NPCs, Travellers of Skyrim, iHud, Immersive Hud, Better Vampires, Hunting Grounds Outfit, Wet and Cold,  UFO, Alternate Start, Sexlab Aroused, Devious Devices+related

I used this mod to check my scripts

I am using the latest version of Skyrim, SKSE, etc.

Did you fix your issue or is the post above just an update its not quite clear to me?

sounds indeed like a lot with the tool you posted it shows for me with 254 mods installed ~6,000 scripts on all saves also on a new game and even on really old backup saves its allways between 6,000 and 6,500

you might try http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53045/? this tool out its a savegame cleaner like yours, but a bit more actual.

Also check your papyrus if you are able to enable it. Its not like you have to leave this setting allways on just put it in play a bit and look at what mods spit out the most errors.

A load order would also be intresting if you could post one.

after cleaning one of my saves (I never did before) he cleaned: "34 scripts and 43 instances removed." I would say a good result on 6,000 scripts just take an older save and clean it and see how many scripts would be normal for you.

You are likely getting errors from some scripts and that is slowing things down. Check your papyrus log for errors that constantly repeat as I doubt DD-Integration was the cause but was slowed by errors from other scripts, I rarely (if ever) see errors from it that were not caused by something else.
