Contessa Posted October 9, 2014 Share Posted October 9, 2014 I start a new game, do all the character setup stuff and when the menu pops up to activate Hardcore Mode, I click yes and nothing happens. It doesn't start. It doesn't do anything except open up the menu option and by that point I think it's too late to get the achievement, right? I can activate it in the menu, but I'm kinda after that Steam achievement and this is bugging me. >.>  Could a mod be stopping this from happening? Mitchell's house. I had a lot of mods you have, so no idea what could be causing it. Try the good old (but boring) deactivating ESPs and starting a new game, then testing it out again, since I assume you're starting a new save. Link to comment

It will come on if I manually do it via the Settings menu but by that point I think it's too late for the Achievement. I'm suspecting it may be "Continue after ending" because it's the only mod that activates instantly after I select the Hardcore Mode option from the Doc's menu. Gonna be a long slog since FOMM is so slow on my PC. x.x Link to comment

I suspect it might be something else, or perhaps multiple mods can cause it. Â You could try sending a PM to Yukichigai, on the Nexus. He usually has good suggestions when it comes to this kind of stuff. And, if it turns out to be a vanilla bug or something, he could try and fix it if he feels like. Link to comment
Contessa Posted October 9, 2014 Author Share Posted October 9, 2014 I discovered the source of this issue last night. It was the Pip-Boy Readius Mod. Apparently you can't have any Pip-Boy mods active until after you choose the option for some reason. Still, whew! Thanks for your help! Link to comment
