astymma Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I noticed when going into Sercen and Nornalhorst that the Ayleid Ruins were missing transition statics from level to level. What is supposed to be a straight staircase is missing and is instead replaced by a spiral staircase which does not match up. I tracked this down to VToy. The record is STAT: 000319E2 vanilla is:ARWHallStairs01 at Dungeons\AyleidRuins\Interior\ARWHallStairs01.NIF vtoy is:ARWHallStairs01 at VToy\ArchSpider\ARnSpiralRampR4.nif Unfortunately these two elements cannot act as replacements for each other, they don't start and end with the same connections.

I guess I mistakenly accept the change without creating a new object in the CS... [/quote'] May want to consider doing the same for ICDoorAnim (DOOR:0003AD69) and StoneWallGateDoor02(DOOR:00026702). There's no problems with these but overriding the base doors means your scripts in these doors are replicated through dozens and dozens of copies of these throughout Tamriel. I have to go through every record of your mod to make it compatible with both UOP and BBC so I'll likely see more things like this and will post them here in this thread...
astymma Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 I've noticed that in quite a few places where you've added a new NPC to a vanilla location inhabited by someone or a place designed for the player, you've given a vanilla item to your new NPC and made a copy to give back to the vanilla owner. two examples: Skingrad Dungeon Cell You turned the vanilla stolen goods chest into Aliyah's Laundry Basket and then made a new record and assigned it as the stolen goods chest. Mirili Ulven's house in Highcross You took Mirili's bed and gave it to Kristina and made a new bed and gave it to Mirili. In both of these cases, and the other cases I saw, it would be better to just make a new item and leave the original vanilla item alone. Don't override the stolen goods chest or Mirili's bed, just add you laundry basket and Kristina's bed. That way you have only 1 record in your esp instead of 2, you have no vanilla override in the cell waiting for another mod to conflict with, and you won't break any AI packages that are specifically targeting those vanilla references... Hmm, thought there were more but I think the only other example is the drawers in Floyd Nathan's house.

Last time we cleaned with Tes4edit we destroyed a lot of things and I lost several days of work so I'm bit freaked out to do it again. Thanks for the feedback and your work though. [/quote'] Thanks mate! Oh, I just remembered something I saw in my playthrough. Was Mirili Ulven... when you ask her to start the Kristina dream process, if she's outside she'll say INFO:xx00CEEA "Let's go inside first." but if you haven't done Mirili's SI quest yet, she's stuck in her garden and won't move inside her house. I looked at the INFO and there's no script giving her a package to go inside her house to begin the dream sequence with Kristina. I know I was forced to click on Mirili in the console, then go inside, then MoveTo player her to me with the console to get her to begin the process.

That's what I'm saying, unless you've completed her SI quest she doesn't have that package. She won't go inside, I repeatedly waited the duration of the GameHours listed in the dialogue.

The only two package that can take precedence are linked to SE37. No, I actually checked that package and it should be running and I have nothing that touches her at all except VToy. Why I was confused. Will take another look and see if something isn't indirectly messing with her somehow.

None of her packages have been overridden by anything. She just refuses to go inside... she even refused to follow me when I used various spells to make her follow me. The only thing that worked was the console and using MoveTo Player on her refid. SmallerTalk my new Skeleton they're both Fallout: New Vegas mods
