Trykz Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 So after a few weeks of rifling through headparts, textures, and a crapton of other old folders full of misc. stuff, I've managed to find the actual ear file used on the race in Oblivion (then it hit me.... why didn't I just re-download the mod? LOL) I'm fairly certain I can duplicate the race pretty accurately using the CK. Including their racials, AND the timed translucent Moonshadow Blossom buff After looking over a ton of other race mods, I've come to the conclusion that the closest "ready to use" head mesh is the Oriental. So with permissions from the authors of the required files to put this all together for Skyrim, I'm more than willing to take a crack at it. But I'll need help with a couple of things: First, is the ear mesh (preferably with AND without the original earring) converted for use in Skyrim. Second (and likely the most difficult), is a workable texture set with the original tattoo options. Full details of the original mod can be found here. The hair options aren't necessary at all. I can set it up in the CK to use any hair mod (or pretty much ANY beautification mod) the user has installed (same as my Mystical Elves races). So if anyone is interested enough, PM me. I'm currently working on several other Skyrim mods. But for this specific race, I'll put everything else on hold
megadomonic Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Aww man! You make me wish I knew how to mod, mesh, and texture. I wish you luck along with whoever is willing to help you.
ahddubbuddah Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 same here, if i knew how to do all of that, i would help you in a heartbeat, but i have no idea how to do any of that
Trykz Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I went ahead and got started on this. As many of you likely realize, this isn't going to be easy. Because physical and technical accuracy expectations will be through the roof on this one. But I think I'm off to a decent start. You can track progress in this thread as I move forward. And yeah, I'm sweating bullets through this one LOL
ahddubbuddah Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 its ok, just do the best you can. we wont be mean to you if it isnt what we expected, at least i wont be, and i would HOPE that everyone else would stop and consider the amount of time and effor that doing something like this takes before being a jerk and complaining if they dont like something. [my only hope is that it looks alot like the original if not exactly like it and that it has all of the tatoo options, the forehead, breast, leg etc.]
snsd4203 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Well I'm new to the modding, but I'm trying hard to create evie(pic above) race for Skyrim. I already have the meshes, textures and everything else. but.... I don't know how to do the morphing thingy they say you need morphing in order to make character to have facial expression such as smile, or blinking.. Also I know how to replace the head with original race, but I don't know how to create a new race T_T Any helps????? once I get to finish making evy race, I will try to do moonshadow race
Trykz Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Also I know how to replace the head with original race' date=' but I don't know how to create a new race T_T[/quote'] Making a new race is easy in the Creation Kit. There's a ton of video tutorials on YouTube, as well as the CK website: Here. Once I'm finished with this mod, I'll be getting back to work on a few others I put on hold until it's finished. But I check in here numerous times a day. So if I get some free time here and there, I'll gladly help you out if I can P.S. Posted some more pics in the adult section thread if anyone wants to take a peek
Fox Maiden Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Making a new race is the easy part, its figuring out how to get the new race to use custom skin textures and properly access vampire and werewolf transformations thats tricky.
Trykz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Well, this highly requested mod is finally done. Well, as done as I could make it..... You can see the final result of over 2 weeks worth of 18-20 hour days spent working on this in the screenshots in this post: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=7066&pid=143451#pid143451 (beware, they're quite large) It's 99% complete, and only the ears I've been begging for two weeks for someone to convert for me remain. Over 40 people downloaded the original ear file I attached in multiple locations. And as of now, I've received "one" set of male/female ears that fit very nicely, but have major lighting issues (a big thanks to AzureMouse for the effort). Every part of the mod works flawlessly, and I've just completed a third test-play through Helgen, Whiterun, and joining the Stormcloaks. Oh well..... It's sits on my drive until it can be released complete and proper
