Issue with Sex animation

Hello,

New mod user here.  I am having issues when running sex animations.  The characters are WAY off in position....like several feet apart and sometimes turned in a completely incorrect position for the animation.  Making them take a bath (haha) didn't help.  (Neither did running FNIS, resetting Sexlab, and running LOOT to make sure my mods were all in the correct order).

I have SexLab Framework, Romance, Spouses Enhanced.   I have all the 'Unofficial Pathches' and am using a Mod Manager.   I am using Better Males and for awhile I had SOS Light.  I uninstalled SOS Light after hearing there could be bugs.  I like the look of the male chars with Better Males, but wanted an easy way for erections during sex and for a few test runs, the SOS Light worked, but then I got the 'freeze positioning' error and the character would just stand there frozen while the sounds played.  I ran FNIS again and uninstalled SOS Light and now the animations work great, but my female PC seems to be at least 3-5 feet away from her male NPC boyfriend(s) ;)    Can't a girl just get a few good dates in before I marry one of them!  haha

My gal isn't married yet (so can't test Spouses Enhanced yet), and I do have 6 adopted kiddos (makes dating hard, not many guys want that kind of responsibility).   (Running Hearthfire, Dawnguard )  I like the aspects of Romance, but would switch if that engine is making this happen.  Also, is there an easy way to 'get em up and ready', but  only when we are off somewhere alone and  not walking around the house with boners...I have kiddos!  (Living in the Underground Bathhouse, so it's mostly naked women, but I plan to change that when I get a few male housecarls (Have Sexy Male Housecarls installed, but no housecarl other than Lydia right now)

The issues seemed to start when I tried using a 'No more sexy animations' mod to stop my daughters from walking like little trollops....haha...but it messed up their faces (gray skin on vanilla faces) and I uninstalled it.   That is when I got 'frozen' chars when running any adult animation.  The FNIS fixed that, but now the chars are REALLY misaligned.  It does make for some humorous situations, but it is totally immersion breaking!

I don't know how to put up a list of all the mods I am running, but am sure I can figure it out if that is the best way to troubleshoot and this isn't just a known bug!  I was hoping someone else may have had this issue and it was a fairly easy fix.  I have been reading the Forums, but cannot find this particular issue.  I did see that Sexlab has alignment position keys, but the characters are so far off and misaligned, the animation is usually over by the time I even can get one char moved slightly.    Please help a girl get laid! :D

So, how bad is it to mess around with TesEdit?  I have found a few ITM records on a few mods I have installed, by running LOOT.  I have TesEdit installed, but it looks kind of scary.  Also, I figured out how to read my Papyrus (sorry for spelling).  There seems to be some balking about 'Mannequin animations'.  Could that be the issue?  I had a female mannequin mod running and have disabled it.  I will keep plugging away.

Seriously, lots of people reading this, but no advice, smart ass remarks, or general comments?  haha.

I don't know anything about TESEDIT, but I can offer advice to the best of my knowledge.

The animations are working and playing, right? It's just the allignments that do not work? Since this is an alignment issue, I'm going to assume it's a Sexlab/Sexlab Framework issue. But from reading all the other issues, it sounds like you may be over do for a fresh install. ^^ /sarcasim

Anyways, to go back to the alignments issue: I want to say a mod you installed over wrote something in the SexLabFramework.

My suggestion is to go here and download the SexLab_v150_to_v159_Update.zip file (It's just an update plugin and should overwrite current FrameWork things to their original form without having to uninstall the FrameWork itself) , add it to nexus, install it and overwrite all files. Than go in-game, into your Sexlab MCM and reset it. Now test out the animations using MatchMaker or a similar mod to see if alignments are fixed or still having an issue. If the issue is still there, quit out of your game and upload your most recent Papyrus Log in your next post.

This is simply my suggestion based on recent events. xD I'm certainly not an expert but I hope it helps.

TIP: You can post your load load by doing the following:

- Open NMM and select the "Plugins" Tab.

- On the far Left hand side there are 6 icons. You're looking for the bottom two Icons; the white ones that look like a document with an arrow going through them. The first one is 'Export Load Order', and the second is 'Import Load Order'.

- Hit the 'Export Load Order', and than select 'Export to Text file' and save it wherever.

- Open the new text file and there is your current load order! Copy all the text, and place it in a 'spoiler' tag here in the forums!

DeltaD36,

THANK YOU for responding.  I now know how to export my Load!  That is always a good thing to learn a new skill. :D  Just for an FYI, incase anyone else gets this issue:

I already had Sexlab159 (latest) and had reset all functions in the NMM and even did a rebuild on it (I think that is what they call doing that).  I checked my skeleton framework and made sure I had all patches (spent several hours reading and making sure I had everything every mod needed.  (a lotta time spent here and I was fine and it was all installed correctly).

I ran LOOT and looked at the details summary and noted which mods it had complaints about.  Some of the mods had already been 'cleaned' with Tes5edit, according to the download instructions, but it still had some issues with ITMs on a few of them (all recent uploads and therefore I suspected one of them was causing my issue).

I agree with you, I figured some mod I'd installed was somehow overriding Sexlab.  So then I realized that about  the time this started happening, I'd installed several mods, but especially one that moves your horse into the stall  at your Hearthfire homes (I was running a mod to give me a nice Lake Manor house, and when I fast travelled, I was annoyed to have my horse standing in the middle of the yard and not go into it's stall (Like when it's raining...I know, silly, but hey, Immersion!)

I realized the distance from where the horse normally stands, to the stall was just about the SAME distance my character would move and be rotated and therefore disabled the mod (and I disabled several mods that were having ITM or other issues ....there were just a couple, but BurtsBreezeway Home was another one with issues.

Not only is the game running faster (I guess it's good to tweek things up a bit, but I excitedly grabbed Farkas and took him for a test ride...err...drive...well...you know what I mean, and it worked!!!!!  :)

So I guess the Horse Mod I had installed considered my character a little filly, just like my horse!  haha  I'm very happy things are working and BurtsBreezehome mod may work ok, but since it was having some issues according to LOOT, I'd rather not re-install it....I do NOT want to be playing around with TES5Edit!  I had been running the Breezehome mod with Garath the handyman that fixes up your home for you, but it has issues with Spouses Enhanced . :(   The bed flips sideways!  If I can find a fix, I would rather have that house anyway!

I do appreciate you responding, more than you know. :D  I do have some techie friends, but would rather figure this one out myself here in the Forums, rather than have to explain 'why' I needed help for such an issue!    ...haha...

No problem!

I don't enitrely understand what the issue may have been, but if it's working, than it's working!

PROTIP: Export your current load order with your game working, and save it. That way if your game fucks over again, you can use that as a referance.

It was a fluke of nature that I was able to get it fixed....haha...but things like that happen a lot around me.  So I'm gratefully accepting it and playing on!  I just exported the load order and THIS time...if I add a mod, I will check everything before installing too many all at once (/blush) like I did before and messed it up!
