Sexout Intimacy

Recommended Posts

Hello RogueMage,

3) Rumors:

Since all communication is 1 on 1 and are not broad-casted it is safe to assume that other NPCs will not know.

Instead of taking the concept of rumors as its naturalistic one IRL, consider it as an exploration tool for One NPC to query the PC in regards to their opinion of any subject raised.

-------

In regards to [Positive Response] vs [Negative Response], it is a balance between a minor penalty if they don't like your opinion versus the potential loss of an option / behavior that might be beneficial to your intended goals.

For example:

If you intend your PC to have lots of sex and not a prostitute, but [Deny] the Rumors [Easy Lay], [Prostitute] & [Gold Digger], to keep positive responses in building up to your first sexual encounter;

You may well be encouraging them to have a normal respectful relationship with them, and the NPC will less likely attempt to demand for sex because they respect you. This co-ordination of [Positive Response] certainly will help you with getting Sex for the first time, but thereafter takes more work on the same NPC.

4) Reset Mod

A clean save will definitely reset the mod. Note that NX values (the ones created by NVSE Extender 15) are stored in a secondary file that matches with their respective save game. If you want an authority on NX Values, ask PrideSlayer.

See if there is a way to reset all NPCs in your SODRTL menu from your inventory, it might be safer then bothering with clean saves.

If you want to physically move NPCs back from your trysts then you should move them back through other means if their packages are not getting them back to their original spot since resetting the mod does not mean they will go back.

Have Fun :D

I had to reset SDRTL twice already (EDIT : by deleting the co-save file), once after updating another mod that uses the same NVSE/NX co-save, and once after updating to the latest version of <SexoutNG>.

The after-update bugs were crippling (console spam + crash), and I didn't have the patience to debug it, or look into finding another way.

Wish I could have kept all the SDRTL records though, and will probably not update to newer versions of <Sexout> mods again soon because of this. I am happy with what I've currently got.

That is what I thought. The NX file is for all mods using it, one file for all.

I started my 4th try as prostitute now at the wrangler. The dance shows are great and with 'populated casinos' there are at least some patrons. I am pretty frustrated though that they mostly have no money to pay. I read that gifting them before they become patrons may help. Well, I got my two bottles back as payment from that entertainer ghoul. I am looking for a solution to give everybody a few caps. Does anypody know such a mod?

Although I had a problem during soliciting. The patron wanted to pay in food and in advance. The barter window popped up, right side empty. Obviously the patron did not have any food items. The problem was that the window always came up after closing it. Could not get ouf of the loop and had to load a save.

Looking into mcm of the 'Clothing Evaluation' mod I recognized that glasses are tagged as masks. My charakter has the four eye perk. Does this mean glasses are treated as masks (regarding anonymous sex)?

Has anyone else been able to find which of SCR's ridiculous model dependencies list the Custom Courier Armor is included in?  I tried downloading the torrented file, all the data files included on the SCR resources page, I dug around through each of the listed files in the SCR post, and I'm going bonkers.

It's supposed to be the file "armor\Neverclock\merccustom.nif" according to FNVEdit, but every single one of the files I've checked thus far has no Neverclock folder.  Obviously Neverclock is the author and that's my next step (i.e., look around for Neverclock, whoever they are, and see what models they've released), but failing all this I'll just have to hack SODRTL or SCR's resource to point to a vanilla resource instead, since I'm not installing 2.5 GB of horrifyingly ugly Type 3 meshes just on the off chance that one of them is the one I want. ;-)

[edit] Aha, found a possible winner.  By way of the BnB thread and tracking down the BnB tutorial PDF, it mentioned the source of the Wasteland Custom Armor, which the SCR Assets list points out as being directly above the Custom Courier Armor, in Body by Race's optional bodies.  I had the original Body By Race files (never used, of course, since they're borderline racist and generally terrible anyway) but not the optionals.  We'll see if that's where my Grail is.

[edit 2: edit harder] Nope, the quest continues.  Just a bunch of type 3 variations in that file...

[edit with a vengeance] Found! Here http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37201/? and here http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38838/?-- I think I'll skip it over and just go with something else, though... it's got typical Type 3 torpedo boobs going on. *sigh*

Well, I agree with you two-fold. Once about the SCR, and a second time about the outfit. As you can see in the pictures I posted above, I have my courier wearing it almost all the time (and then some nighties, I guess). I doubt she'll want to change it any time soon, not even for a powered armor. She doesn't need to, it's her <signature armor>.

This being said, I question your method about getting your feedback optimal exposition. Not really considerate towards t3589 either to talk in this thread about stuff that doesn't really relate to his mod.

I think you should start a new thread about the SCR itself, as I believe you aren't the only one who shares such an opinion. I would gladly contribute to it.

Ok Included in this attachment:

SignatureArmor.esp

Changes:

Additional Perk that allows for Stealth Field ability, separated from the primary Multi-Level Stealth Perk Level 3.

Modified primary Stealth Perk to add an (Use) Option to activate the field or deactivate the field.

<Face any wall and press 'E' to call up a simple menu to toggle the perk on or off.>

Modified clean-up script to remove the new additional perk.

Anyone can improve it by redefining the Form-List that triggers the Menu.

Currently it uses many exclusion form-lists and can be redefined later.

Be careful with the mod Naked Gun, since it has another stealth field effect perk which is also cannot

be toggled.

Well, I have never looked into such option because I enjoy playing in a wasteland where people really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to survive, not to mention afford such a tempting prize as a probably very pretty courier to shag for an hour or two.

However, I know that <Project Nevada / Extra Options> has MCM features that seem to dictate how much loot you can find in containers, on hostiles and therefore probably also on non-hostiles ? I think it's worth checking out. Otherwise, beside creating your own mod, or cheating money to NPCs that you want to seduce with console commands, and to be on the lookout for merchants or wandering caravan traders, I am afraid I can't help you as I would want to.

About the window looping, you must have something else interfering with whatever <SDRTL> does. Once again, I am afraid I can't help much but suggest to try the mod on a very spartan FNV setup, with just <Sexout>, maybe a couple of graphical overhauls that you know not to have anything scripted, and <SDRTL>. I can't remember ever running into any similar issue, and can't check either right now.

About glasses, I don't think that they act as masks for <SDRTL> in the sense of providing anonimity. Even if <SCR> categorizes some gear as mask, you really need to use masks in the sense that we usually understand them, That should be the oriental half-masks (created by the same author than <SDRTL>) that the <SCR> adds to the game, or maybe anything really face-covering, like stock hockey masks (God, how ugly they are. Instant bone killer to me if a hooker came up to me clothed like that : "My name is Freddy, and my price..." "Noooooo!!"). My courier wears reading glasses, and as soon as she got her first patron, other patrons came to sollicit her for a quickie. Needs to be confirmed by t3589, but I don't think I am wrong.

Thx Iljacguard,

Freddy :D  good one. A fire axe should be holstered as well :P

I am playing with debug on and am still trying to figure out what the values are. I only had two npc with budget other than 0. If 0 means that they don't give money for sex I understand my problem. Mabe the npcs are just a little bit unlucky randomized in my case. Some of them have a good wealth and even sex-rate is set as well. But nobody wants to pay or give me presents in advance.

Also I have no clue what 'Conviction' is for. I checked it in the diary but it is very unclear. My guess is that this is how convinced npc are regarding their sexual orientation?

Regarding the window looping. The problem was not the looping itself, I think. This is probable a safeguard built in. The cuase is that I should select something from the npc's stuff. But the npc did not have a single item.

Hey RogueMage,

If you are worried about Broke NPCs, consider giving them [Gift] so that they do have some money.

t3589 gave us a hint that one way to get NPCs a means to afford the PC's services is to give them something for them to afford your Sexy services.

Otherwise it may take a Day or an entire week for their budget to get refilled.

Additionally, to determine who has this budget per week, it is labeled under "Provider". A Provider has the dosh to purchase your services and

to keep a potentially expensive relationship. Non "Provider" are usually performs the "Services".

Have fun! ;)

Yes, either that, or the capacity in believing all the sweet sirupy words that the courier probably drowns some NPCs under, all the while continueing some shady business in the background. You know, the "love you forever and ever" stuff, "... but please hurry I got a patron waiting outside" ^.^

There are quite some other stats that I found in the co-save and that I am *really* curious about, but I decided against digging through the code to decipher them, for I believe it would break the appeal of the whole mod to me if I understood how the system really works internally.

Please do share if you ever find out how to set the initial orientation (hetero/homo) and dom/sub kinks of a NPC. These are parameters of the mod (or the simulation) that I believe should be accessible to the player when meeting the NPC for the first time, to have the option to change them once, but then never again.

Installed, checked 'start now' when i was asked and played 2 hours with this mod i still wonder what it is supposed to do. Is there any way to know ? is this a framework/resource for something else ? did i screw the installation ?

Best way to check if something is happening is activating both debug functions with the inventory item you used to start the mod. The first option gives console output about scanning the npcs in the vicinity of your PC. The second one gives output regarding npc values and planned actions.

Walk, don't run and keep in the field of vision of the npcs whose reaction you are interested in. The mod scanning/acting interval is around one minute real time which might feel a little long at the beginning. You have to get used to it.

When I start new people tend to approach me with rumors like 'lesbian', 'bi', 'dating non humans' etc.

Hope that helps.

I had read that post with the gift. But I don't have the gift option in the casaul dialog options, only with friends and patrons. Before he can become a patron he has to pay and the friends tend to be gay. But I think I misinterpreted the 'budget' variable. Thought that 'provider' was the willingness to pay and that 'budget' was some kind of how much the patron has in form of caps. A few hours later I recognized a change in the value of some of the npcs who suddenly had changed from 0 to 5. A question here: independent of the npc having caps at the first approach, do they generate cash if the 'provider' variable is set? That would mean my PC could meet them and the payday counter would start. When the paday is reached caps are added to the npc?

Hello RogueMage,

Here is a quote from t3589 in regards to gifts found on this thread:

EDIT: Also another note and little secret I've been keeping to myself. Gifting is currently the only way to seed currency. If the PC is a prostitute, and the patron has no currency, they cannot pay you in 'money' and will only ever be able to pay you in survival goods. The remedy is to gift them a little something during activities (probably before they're a patron, but sometimes after), which will give them currency, at which point they'll be capable of paying you in 'money'.

It might give you some head-way into the problem with cash poor NPCs. Give this little hint a try and not do anything drastic ok?

To get to Activity Dialogues, simply ask the NPC to go for a Walk / Drink / Eat / Date / Hang Out... etc.

I did this to one NPC, gave em a few Plasma pistols and they ended with 2000+ wealth.

Additionally If plant items in their inventory by picking pockets, it counts towards their wealth but you

lose any personalized bonuses by planting instead of gifting. Gifting is a better way.

--------------

ljacquard,

Good to read it! Now the courier can be Sexy, Stealthy and get a whole lot of real action!

If you want it to be less annoying, add exclusions to medical items as well to avoid that pop-up.

Also if you ever intend to make mods with SODRTL, don't be afraid of reading the code.

Hell there are some fun variables in the code saved in ASCII which are fun to play with

as long as you have a good editor / HEX editor.

Didn't know that I there was a gift option in the casual acitivites. Gave a lot of them some caps or gifts. Unfortunately I am out of luck with  my current character. I just got level 16 and got laid only 4 times. The patrons totally loose interest in sex after the first time. Other have values of lust and desire far over 100 or 200 but they don't do anything. I get them to a date and they prefer eat, drink or dance and it ends with 'later' (after 2-3 continuations).

  • 3 weeks later...

Update in the OP.  Tons of changes, additions and improvements including:

- major improvements and fixes to identity tracking (should make becoming a prostitute much easier).

- you can now find out more info on the NPC by the 'Ask Info' dialog choice during activities.

- more music placeholders added (you'll need to drop in replacements for some of them).

- new appearance options for prostitute outfits (payscale can be assigned to the outfit).

- solicitation payouts were broken after being paid in booze once, should now be fixed.

- new negotiation menu for overpriced solicitation (untested).

I just installed it and have the problem that my FNV hangs up during the loading screens before the game companion switches to fake fullscreen mode. I used all three downloads and AWOP is installed. Normally if something is installed wrongly the game crashes after load of a save game and not during startup... any hint what i should do?

What's a game companion?

Just a fake-fullscreen-tool for playing in windowed mode http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42956/? .It switches from bordered window mode to fake full screen window mode during the load. Should not be the source of a problem as it is external.

No clue.  Did you uninstall the old one?  Try a clean save maybe (though I don't know how that would freeze you on load)?  Just making guesses.

EDIT: Maybe try uninstalling the SODRTL-AWOP patch and then try it?

EDIT EDIT: Yep it's the AWOP patch.  Uninstall it and you should be fine.

New AWOP patch uploaded.  Thanks for catching that RM.

Note: You can play fine without the AWOP patch.  All it does it ban AWOP NPCs.  Without it, it's just like it always was (use the NPC customization menu to exclude them if they get in your way).
