MagicalDude Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I noticed something weird with my Creation Kit. When going to File -> Data, I noticed my load order as this: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dragonborn.esm Hearthfires.esm Dawnguard.esm I thought that was really weird so I checked my laptop and noticed this for its load order on the Creation Kit: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm Hearthfires.esm Dragonborn.esm So, I don't know why my Desktop masters are out of order and my laptops aren't. It should be noted that the laptop is an AMD chipset and the Desktop is an Intel chipset. I know that it doesn't really matter in the long run because you can fix this with TES5edit, but it is still annoying. Any help on fixing this would be great.
Fotogen Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Had the same problem not so long ago. Used google and didn't found anything. Then I remembered that Skyrim is The Elder Scrolls v5. New, upgraded version of Fallout, Oblivion, Morrowind. Constriction Kit does not 'obey' load order from Skyrim (or any other mod organiser). Its still loads .esm and .esp like in the old days. By date/time. Change date/time of your master mods (*.esm). Be carefull with masters that depend on other masters. Change date/time of both. It's best to fix date/time of all masters at the same time.

Just a quick question (apologies for the stupidity of it but because of the nature of these files, safe to ask), what would be the best approach to modifying it with minimum change? Or is it best to get some file date changer online and go that way?
Cyndi Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Clean them with tes5edit (which you should do anyway), in the order they need to go in? Just a thought, I've never had the issue and never noticed it, so idk if that will work but you never know. Edit: Doesn't look like tes5edit changed the dates on mine. Sorry was worth a shot.
MagicalDude Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Resolved (Source Bethesda forums): Loot has an ability to fix this issue. Sort it through LOOT then go to File -> Redate Plugins. That resolved it. Thank you everyone on here.
Fotogen Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 File date/time changer. Any will do. Get something thats free. But be careful you don't get infested with some stupid 'explorer toolbars' shit. I'm a bit old style and use FAR manager (http://www.farmanager.com/). It's like Win32/64 bit Norton Commander. I don't find Windows Explorer to be very productive for file manipulation.
