With that setup I am running stable without any issues, but I can't get my textures to install properly for some reason.  I keep getting the blank purple textures no matter how I install them so I think it might be an install order issue or something.  I am downloading the files again in case I had some corrupt files or something.

I am trying to add HD2K, SMIM, and Project Parallax and can't seem to get them correct.  Should I even bother with HD2K?  Should I use the Mod Combiner to setup all my regular textures and then add Project Parallax on top of that?  How should I proceed?

Thanks for reading this, and for any help you can offer.

How much VRAM do you have? I don't know if that's your problem, but there was a time when I would get purple and black textures everywhere because I was overloading my video card, and it was dropping stuff to make room for new stuff... it was shortly after that I decided to stop downloading ALL the HD retextures on the Nexus, and just go with a few of them.

And what textures are you having go purple or black? If it's always happening with the same item (all rocks in the river being black, or all iron swords being purple, etc...) then it's a path problem, but if it seems to happen randomly then... I dunno?

p.s. I have occasionally had problems running that ordenador texture optimizer, but mostly those problems stemmed from things like bump maps disappearing or textures going pixelated... pixellated... pixcelated..... all blocky.

What is ordenador?  I am using the optimizers by rgabriel and the optimized textures by vano89, tony971, & STEP team.  Should I not use one/all of them?

I have 2gb of VRAM, here's my specs:

i5 3570k

eVGA SC gtx660 2gb

8gb Crucial Ballistix ram

OCZ 128gb SSD w/ 1TD storage drive

Project Parallax RM is going purple in some places, specifically on bridges.  I have the SMIM bridge update for PP and the latest version of SMIM installed.  Think it could be because I didn't install everything in SMIM, wrong install order, corrupt SMIM patch download?  Wow, so many things can go wrong...lol

Thanks for the quick response, I'm gonna go try a reinstall now that I have everything re-D/L'd.  Any tips on install order?

Also, I realize that I shouldn't be installing so many texture packs.  Do you have any recommendations?  It seems like everything uses SMIM, should I just stick with that only?  Should I try Mod Organizer and make a compiled pack of my own?

Ah, my bad. I thought you were using this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/?

And that's more VRAM than I have, so I'm pretty sure that isn't your problem unless you're running a HUGE amount of retexture mods with very high resolution textures, and it doesn't look like you're using that much... keeping in mind that many retexture mods don't actually show up in your load order because they don't have ESP files.

As for which texture packs to use,  well, that's a matter of personal taste... like most things. I know that doesn't help much, but I really can't advise on that score.

I personally use SMIM and the Book of Silence mods and that's about it nowadays.

I've never used Project Parallax, I try not to mess with my ugrids, and several other mods you've listed I've never used, so... good luck, wish I could help.

Well, thanks for at least trying to help.  The good news is I think I discovered the cause of the purple texture issue, I had given the SMIM bridge patch the same mod number in MO as the masterfile mod for Project Parallax.  I just reinstalled SMIM, PP, & SMIM PP Bridge patch and there is no more purple texture.  I'm not sure if my PP install worked but hopefully someone who has used it will come along and let me know if this looks right:

If you have purple textures you are missing the textures for the purple stuff so either you did not installed the mod correctly or the files are simply missing in the download.

Did you let the mods overwrite everything or did you just skipped instead of overwriting?

Other than that I have no idea how it should go wrong with the install.

http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/40512-3-1376779136.gif there is a example what the parallax stuff does I use it, but I guess I wouldn't even notice if I would deinstall it.

I installed it wrong.  The SMIM Bridge patch does not indentify itself with a number and the number on the file, which I usually use when I have to manually enter the number in MO during install, was the exact same as the main PP Remastered file.  When I changed the number on reinstall it installed correctly.  It's setup and running fine now, thanks for trying to help though.  I did post another thread in Skyrim General asking for help selecting skeleton, body, face, npc, etc mods if you'd like to join in on that discussion.  Those choices will wrap up my texture/beautification of Skyrim so I am excited to get them done.
