Hope you find the time to maybe answer some of them: - Which of your downloads is the most recent version of the Shojo Race? - What are your headmeshes based on? You said RAN's, I think? Is there also a version of RAN's round faced mesh? - Did you edit the skeleton to make the weapons smaller, when the character is wearing / using them? - Does your Race also support custom sounds (voice files actually)? If not, do you plan to update it in the future? - Would it be possible to switch between CBBE and UNP as the base body, if you just replaced the meshes and textures in their respective folders? - Would it be possible to also support custom animation for your race only? There has been a mod on the Nexus for a couple of days now, that allows exactly that. Thanks in advance!

Every time I save outside the original, the head is missing. Every time I save in the original, purple bob hair shows up in the ck and in game. Preventing me from changing the hair or eyes. I know it's about directory, but I'm not sure how to fix this. I can't change the name of anything without messing it up really bad.

[/quote'] When you say saving outside the original are you talking about the esp? For your changes to work in the game you need to save to the original esp. I'm not sure but like you said it sounds like the texture paths aren't set right. Is it just the hair/eyes that are purple or is it the whole head? Try checking in TextureSet under Miscellaneous and see if the textures paths are pointed to the right folders. If you can't get it figured out upload the esp with the edits and I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong. Well it's not about the texture of anything, it's the mesh. It ether wants forced hair, or no head. Here is the esp. Not sure how much it will help without the rest of the files.

It looks like you have data in the esp from a duplicate esp, like you made the changes you wanted and saved it to a new esp, and when it didn't work you loaded the original and new esp back into the CK to try and figure out what was wrong, and then saved to the original. Unfortunately the info in the new esp had already lost the connection to the original data, so any changes you made to the new races after that didn't work properly. What you may have to do is start over with the original esp, set it as the active esp, and then make your changes again and see if it works. I may be wrong about this, but looking at the esp that looks like the problem. Sounds like what happened. I hope starting over fixes it. But it seems to be doing the same thing when I save on the original file. :X But I'll try again.

D: I'm not sure how I'm going to edit this. >.< It keeps merging the hair and head mesh. Do you think you could make the race able to have other hair styles so I can make a new race from it? D: I tried with the vampire race to since it did not show the hair mesh, but that one remained bald and hair styles were not visible in the showracemenu. This race is frustrating me >.<

This race is frustrating me >.< Wow, that's really strange man. If you can upload the whole file I'll take a look at it (I'll need to see what it's doing in the game to fix it). Normally you only need to add hair and eyes to a race to make NPC's. Even without hairs and eyes added to the race you can usually still use any that you have installed to your game on your own character as long as there aren't any conflicts. I have to get off of here for tonight, but I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong tomorrow. I managed to just change information in the race, but it seems that any attempt to rename the race file causes all these problems. Meaning making a new race is next to impossible. I managed to get hair to work with the edited race, but there are some artifacts left over from the race, including the face being big on a big body. Which does no happen on a save I made of the head staying on the body. I ended up having to use the second esm to even get the race to show up. Not sure if that is good or bad. Then there is the issue with changing the skin tone from reds to blues since dark blue turns into dark brown. Though I'm sure I can fix that. The only problem though, is now it's so scattered I don't really have a for sure mod that i could turn on and off. D: It's really weird. I tried uploading a zip but it keeps saying it's too big. Just under 35megs. I don't really like using upload sites since they take forever and kill files all the time.

You say, I can use any headmesh and I can also change the bodies as I want. So is it save to assume, that the Skeleton determines the scale / size of all the meshes and their parts? The body, head, hands and feet don't need to be adjusted for the smaller size? I'm asking this, because I didn't like your first screenshots. I found the head to be too big. Somewhere it (you) said, that the initial version was like factor 1.3 compared to vanilla size and a later version was 1.0, which looked rather good. Also I might want to change the body for UNP Standard or CBBE to get a little more curves and to use outfits for the respective body type. Sorry, I don't know much about such things. Answered the question myself after trying out your mod. See update at the end of this comment. It doesn't support them right now but I could add them. The problem would be getting permission to use the sounds from the people that made them. I wouldn't be able to make the sounds myself. Personally' date=' I would very much like that, because I actually don't want to change the voices for all other NPCs / races as well, just so my teen character gets an appropriate voice. Perhaps you could just make a separate path with all the vanilla sounds in it and use it as a placeholder. The users could then copy the voice files they wish to use on their own. I'm sure custom animations could be added to the race, but I don't know anything about animations and I doubt anyone would want to add them for me. Animations are way beyond my ability. Not having exclusive animations is not that big of a deal for me. I was mainly just curious. If you intend to add that feature at some point, because you think it's worth it, you might want to take a look at PC Exclusive Animation Path by Raestloz, which is the mod I was talking about. Although, after thinking about it once more, you probably don't need that at all, because you already have your own race and as far as I know from reading, races can have their own animations by default, can't they? Thanks again! UPDATE / EDIT So I tried your race and it seems to work fine. I've also answered my own question, because it really is the skeleton, which scales the head and other bodyparts. However, I have some suggestions. - Perhaps you should include 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 headsizes optionally for those who'd like to try it out. I think, 1.3 is a tad big and 1.0 might sometimes look too small. At the least you should include 1.0 in the zip file as an option, because I had to look through the last 15 or so pages to find the download again. (btw 0.8 is way too small ) - You could try giving the race its own "eyes" folder (independent from the vanilla game) and using the bigger eyes from Oriental beauty Women and Man mod or from the Cute Eyes by tktk as default, so that you get a cuter look right from the start without being forced to change the look of all other races as well. - You might also consider making the round faced headmesh as default, because it gives the character a younger look, too. But no need for that since you can easily replace the mesh on your own. - Last but not least I have a bug to report: The necklace, bracelets and earrings from this mod aren't working with your race. I have the same problem with the Monli Race v2, where these accessoires simply turn invisible, when equipping them. Thanks again for your amazing mod! [/quote'] For some reason, i reloaded my loliworld recently, the edited version with all the kids wearing clothing... and all the male kids changed back to male... and it loads fine, and all the kids are wearing clothes... i'm not sure what i changed... or what i did differently to make it work... i will likely change the male kids back into a male loli race, likely from the "complete loli V3" then give them clothes as well... i've currently just got all the kids wearing farmer clothes... so depending on what mods you have to modify farmer clothes... it could be a little awkward i guess... one of the mods i have, for the skimpy unp clothing, is just a pink swimsuit apparently... not sure how that fits for farmer clothes but meh... what i do in that rare instance, is just open the console, select the offending child and reset inventory... poof she changes her clothes into something a bit better...

Yes I would appreciate that. :> Load the skeleton in NifSkope. Find the block named NPC and open it. Then open NPC Root, NPC COM, NPC Spine, NPC Spine1, and last NPC Spine2. Now you should see a block named NPC Neck. Right click on NPC Neck and move the cursor over to 'Transform'. In the box that comes up select 'Edit'. Another box will come up, and in that box change the scale, accept the change, and then save the nif. Now the head should be a different size in the game. You may have to experiment to find a size you like. Small changes in scale (1.0 to 1.1 is a pretty big change) can have a big effect in the game. Btw, you should make a backup of the skeleton before you mess with it. Thank you. :>

I ty on custom armor all the time on a different race with no problems. It's not like some invisible guy went on my computer and added the race to the new custom armor. Is there something that I can do to save days of editing?

[/quote'] You don't have to add the DefaultRace setting to every single item, just the ones where the author didn't add it themselves and the item's not showing up in the game (some items show up without the setting). Most item mods will already have DefaultRace set as one of the races the items can be used by, but a few mod creators overlook it. Btw, you don't need to remove the races that are already set to use the items, just add the DefaultRace as one of the races that can. I'm not sure what caused the items to stop appearing so I don't know what you can do to fix it. Try undoing the changes you've made since the last time it was working and see if it fixes it. You should always make a backup of the last working version of an esp you're working on before you make new edits to it in case you mess something up. That way if you do something that doesn't work you can just go back to the previous version. Edit: Oh, I think I know what the problem might be. In the menu for the race under the General Data tab there is a setting at the bottom of the window named Copied Data. The Morph Race setting needs to be set to NordRace and the Armor Race setting needs to be set to DefaultRace. If it doesn't have those settings that's probably what's causing the items to not show up. If I change the armor race then the body mesh changes. I'm not sure how to get around that. And then there is the issue with the skin changing on the race. I have a custom skin for the race and it does not stay if I change the morph from none. As for the race discoloration, I found that a texture file was missing. Was weird.

When I was first learning to create races setting the morphs wrong would either cause the body to disappear or armor not to show up. I never had it change the body. Maybe there's something that's not set right in the custom skin? Well the only time I got the body working was when I made a stand alone SkinNaked*which I didn't do this time* with the mesh files by themselves for it to load. but even though I have the files in the original, they don't show up under default, so I have to put it on none.

Well, whatever the race is set to for the Morph Race may be ok. I've always used NordRace but it would probably work set to other races. I'm about to get off of here for the night. It's probably not the problem but there's something I thought I'd mention before I logged off. In the skin the race uses open the models and check at the top of the window for the Race setting. That also needs to be set to DefaultRace (same as the setting for Armor Race in the race menu). You've probably already tried that, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. From what I've read there are a lot of workarounds that have to be used to add animations to the game. Bethesda's pretty much made sure that people have to be expert coders to add them to the game. I think it's easier to add animations to a custom race (people were using race switches for new animations at first) but that's still way beyond my skill level. I may try to learn more about it later on though. Take your time. As I said: should probably be low on your priority list. I have permission to use the face textures from the Oriental race mod' date=' but not the eyes. I can give the race its own eye texture folder, but I'd have to place vanilla eye textures in it. That would allow people to replace them with other eyes without effecting the default texture folders though.[/quote'] Actually, you could also apply that trick to all the other options as well, not only sounds/voice and eyes. I'm mainly talking about the racemenu options here. For instance separating the paths for brows, make up, warpaint, eyeliner, dirt options etc. from the vanilla ones, but with vanilla assets as the default content. That is, if you don't get the files you want due to permission problems and such. Depends, if you think it's worth the work and if you'd like to have that yourself. Personally, I think with the voice and eyes separated you have the most important areas covered. That one's actually not my fault. The person that made the mod didn't set Default as one of the races the objects could use. All custom races I've seen are set as Default so items should always have Default set as one of the races an item works with. You can fix it yourself though. All you have to do is go into the menu of the item in the CK and set Default as one of the races that can use the item. Thank you very much! I tried looking at a race mod that included unique voices in a separate folder but still couldn't figure it out. I have all of the other esp editing done besides that. Hair' date=' eyes, brows, and tintmasks are all finished. After I figure the sound out (or give up in frustration lol) I'll start converting the children and packaging together all the options. Changing the children and making unique faces for each one is going to be the hardest and most time consuming thing I've done so far.
