Any 3DSMAX veteran can help? Animation import not working ...

Hi!

So yah, i finally decided to move from consumer to stakeholder and contribute to the community.

So absolute noob (me) decides to start animating (vicious) stuff for skyrim.

My weapons :

windows 8.1 64

3dsmax 2013

Nifscope (1.1.3) with a custom made (found online) plugin for 3dsmax, which allows me to "read" and import .nif with 3dsmax.

hkxcmd

XPMSE skeleton (last one)

Head mesh : Vanilla

Body mesh : UNPB custom rework with belly support (found online)

Feet/hands meshes : UNPB

So I manage to import the skeleton and the meshes, no biggie.

Then when i try to import an animation, i have absolutely no pop-up, no acknowledgement of my attempt, nothing. It's as if nothing happened, and of course the animation is not loaded/the character stays the same. So I believe the absence of "import pop up box" should be a clue for a veteran ... or at least i hope ... :'(

So yah ... i'm motivated but frustrated as well as i don't have the slightest idea of what is causing that ...

I tried importing a couple pinupposer animations (well at least it has one key), and then i tried a vanilla skyrim animation. Both of course went throught hkxcmd.

The only thing (according to me), that i did not do "by the book" is that hkxcmd says in the readme that i need Intel_Sdk, itself needing intel-ocl up to date drivers, who refuse to install stating i don't have the requirements (which i have), and while the online analysis of intel reports that my intel driver is up to date ... But with or without sdk hkxcmd seems to transfer to kf files ... is it possible that the kfs files are in fact flukes and that's why it doesn't work?

halp! Thanks for any benevolent spirit mentoring me!

Cheers!

You do realize that Ehamloptiran said he hasn't coded in animation support for 2013 yet....

Max 12 is the highest supported 3dsmax for animations.

Thanks a lot for confirming one of my doubts. I'm relieved, whatever can be explained, can also be fought back.

However i'm surprised, here's what ehamloptiran said in his log :

06/02/2014
- Added importing of basic animation (NiTransformController no NiControllerManager)

A noob like me understood that as being able to at least summon simple animations to 3dsmax ... And now you tell me that it doesn't support animations AT ALL. Grant me it can be confusing ... no? :s Am I stupid here?

Anyway thanks again!
